Cavs vs. Atlanta Hawks 7:30 EST, NBATV FSO

Post#1 » by King Stannis » Tue Dec 30, 2014 6:46 am

The Cavaliers limp into Atlanta to take on the high-flying Hawks. The Cavs are coming off a humiliating defeat against the lowly Pistons at home and have been struggling to find a rhythm on both sides of the ball. The Hawks and Cavs last met on December 17th in Cleveland which resulted in a horrific loss by the Cavs 127-98. On a bright note, Kyrie Irving is expected to play after missing two games with a knee contusion.

Carried by Fox Sports Ohio and, unfortunately, NBATV.

Keys to the Game:

1. Team harmony.
2. Play to the level of competition.
3. DEFENSE DAMMIT!
4. Pass the ball, eh?
5. Chill Modes forbidden!

Recommendations:

This is an important game for this team. Probably more important than it should be at this point in the season.

Jarret Allen isn’t winning you anything. Garland won’t show up in the playoffs. Mobley is a glorified dunk man. Mitchell has some experience but is a liability on defense. To me, the Cavs are a treadmill team.

Further note: LeBron may sit due to knee soreness.
Bend the knee.

The Defense needs to be more consistent throughout this game in order for us to win.
LeBron needs to stop going LeISO during crucial moments because it kills all ball movement.
Love needs to stop deferring all the time. This guy shoot's over 50 percent from the field in 1st quarters. Then disappears for the rest.
Blatt needs to have more trust for his bench. In the Detroit game Haywood gave us size and it helped tremendously. But he only played 3 minutes against their big front court. He's a rookie coach so I kind of understand his situation.

Honestly I'm losing faith in this team fast, we shouldn't be 5th seed we are way too good to be in this position
