Jv wasn't getting the calls at all I think that's why he was taken out. He was getting pushed and frustrated

Good game. Tough lost. I cant help but think Derozan would have helped in a game like this as his presense would make the offense a lot more dynamic down the stretch....too much pressure on Lowry's shoulders at the end of the game.

James Johnson would be an absolute beast if he could just hit the corner 3 consistently. Without the 3, he's just a decent roleplayer that you cant afford to play in the clutch.

Size at PF/C continues to be the Raps biggest issue.

Frustrating game. We played them tough, should've been able to get out of there with the win. Refs definitely made questionable calls/no-calls (and took way too long to review calls, jeez).

IMO, the biggest factor in the loss was the rotations/subs. Lou and GV shouldn't have been playing down the stretch in the 4th (they were cold as ice and pylons). Psycho-T shouldn't have played at all (those should have been Hayes' minutes). And JV and JJ were glued to the bench. Casey messed up the flow of the game.

I wish he was. W would be no problem. Giving away games like this - unacceptable.

The mistake this entire board has made is to not realize how much an idiot Ross has been since he got here.

Why did we go away from JV? Seemed like he was doing damage down there..? Think how dope he will be when he becomes a better passer out of the post

GG, you guys fairly won this game, my emotions made me blame the refs though, hope you guys make some noise in the playoffs, my favorite team in the West when they're not playing the Raptors. Also hope this Blazers squad stays healthy man, they're title contenders for sure and Lillard is ice cold and still growing.

In my estimation, Ross' is much clearer considering that Lowry was wide open whereas I think there was a Raptor on the other side of Vasquez who could have got back to, at least, challenge Batum's shot.

You all are now seeing the Lou I saw in Philly, by the way- a chucker who can go hot and cold, doesn't create shots for others and has trouble being clutch. That was his issue in Philly and that's his issue in Toronto. He tutored under Iverson so what can you do. Old habits die hard, I guess.

Tough loss overall. One thing I've got to say about the Blazers though- man, they can shoot the three ball.

Ultimately refs are humans and their decisions will be influenced by bias and environment.

There is a reason why Portland is one of the best home court in the league, their fans have a tradition of being rabid enough to influence refs on key calls.

This time it was especially a no brainer since NBA refs have inherent bias against the Raps. Being mostly Americans, they feel less pressure in making calls against the Raps because they receive less criticism from American media.

We have a rabid fanbase too; how's that's working out for us?

Easy case to blame this on the refs, easy to blame it on Casey. IMO he'd gain some respect by just drilling into the refs via the media, admitting his mistakes and eating the fine. Will it happen? Probably not. I will say, that I personally don't hate Portland, which normally wouldn't be the case after an OT lose. They're probably the closest thing to a western conf raptors and the only real punchable face on their bench is Triano.

Game was lost when we started the fourth with that offensively inept lineup. Over 5mins with Vasquez and Lou taking turn chucking before Casey finally made changes. JJ was the only one that could do anything, yet I don't think he touched the ball during that 6min stretch. Though the refs didn't help, but I def blame this loss on Casey more.

Examples of situations where you aren't getting those calls, ever:
- NBA Playoffs
- NBA regular season 4th quarters
- NBA games in general
- NBDL games
- College and high school games
- Rucker park games
- Pickup basketball games at the local gym

Stop blaming the refs for not calling a foul when a 6' guy goes right at a 6'10'' guy and gets flat out blocked.

That was one instance. There was a ton of contact on every drive by lowry and everyone else. If you keep getting hacked, you gotta start taking jump shots and the raps just didn't knock em down today. I wonder if they would call that push by kaman on JV in the playoffs?
Solution: I don't know, maybe insert your starting 7' center so that he can absorb contact and finish or get an offensive rebound? If there's contact on every drive, you have three options: continue attacking and hope for a foul, adjust/adapt, or chuck jumpers. We continued to attack with Lowry (after it had failed on numerous occasions) and then resorted to chucking jumpers. We SHOULD have put JV in to power through/shoot over contact or, I don't know, put in your 3rd leading scorer in that game who happens to be a 6'9'' PF/SF/black-belt who can absorb contact and finish inside.

Just completely baffling coaching.
