Don't get me started on that bull too.

He walked away, didn't make a face, didn't say anything, simply batted the air with his hand and he gets tech'd up by the off-side official who didn't make the call, nor was he involved in the play.

What **** was that nonsense?

How on earth is that a technical at any level of basketball.
What was JV supposed to do, grovel and thank the ref?

Matthews did the same thing I think in the 1st or 2nd... No call.

Guys, go to bed. We are going to kill ourselves over this ****. 82 games, we are still 24-8, winning without DD. Once he gets back, once we get through this road trip and come back home, its all good again.

Unnecessary. What's wrong with you?

Honestly! We have so many fans who are an embarrassment. If one extra call went our way, one more shot went in, they'd be having a parade instead of berating our coach and the refs and our players who played a great game. If I was a Portland fan, I'd be laughing at our PG thread. Way too many babies in this group.

A little time passed after the final whistle, I'm not as mad as I was 30-45 minutes ago. But just remembering how JV was hacked on couple occasions gets my blood to boil.

So, what is our destiny? Loose games like this and exit the playoffs same way? I want to look forward to the games against good teams and enjoy quality play. Instead I'm getting typical WWE show. Poor me :nonono: :nonono: :nonono:

I would partly blame Amir for the loss. His 2 turnovers in the 4th were killers. I still don't undestand why he keeps on cheating on his picks when he knows that the refs calls are going against the raps. He did the same thing during the Cleveland game at crucial time in the game and at the lakers game if I' m not mistaken. Ughhh

I was watching the game on and off. Aside from the few stupid calls the refs made near the end I have one one thing to say. Why is it that the raps always end up with at least one shi*** player who absolutely PISSES you off when they play. Alan anderson, john lucas, and now Greivis no swag Vasquez.

if that was a tech lowry deserved one on every single play in overtime

Bingo.

Kaman was eaten up by JV
That Freeland bitch was fouling him every other play and JV was still hitting jumpers over him (one of which where he was pushed out of bounds under the backboard and still made it).

On one play, Hansbro had Freeland boxed out for a rebound, with BOTH of Freeland's arms hanging over each of Hansbro's shoulders -- and Tyler got called for the loose-ball foul...

Nah, **** this ****, its like watching WWE, its all for show

Those fouls are on the guards (Lou I believe). You have to wait for the big to set the pick before moving.

Not only did Amir score tying basket, he had 3 assists late in the 4th (1 to Ross for dunk, 1 to Lowry on backdoor, 1 hand off to Lowry from pick).

But don't tell that to the casey apologists

What are the Casey apologists apologizing for exactly? Look, it's like this. Casey is a good coach, a smart basketball man. If someone says he made a mistake, fine. But if anyone here thinks they are smarter than him basketballwise or would make less mistakes, well, they are simply idiots. It's like if they thought they were a better basketball player than GV has been lately. If you're any kind of average intelligence, you look at these people and shake your head at them and tell them to go get a head coaching job in the NBA. Apparently 90% of the coaches there suck, so it should be easy to convince a team to take you on.

not even mad anymore. It was just fixed. LMA shoulder plowing into the lane, Amir not being allowed to set a single screen, JV being hacked/pushed for the entire game and every single reffing momentum swing goes against this team.

-Vasquez should have been pulled sooner.
-Give JJ more minutes down the stretch in regulation.
-Lou was blizzard-like cold.
-Lowry missed a lot of shots he normally makes and also played a little hero-ball -esque down the stretch

In spite of that, we went into Portland's home court and dominated most of the game. Our D really stepped up but they also missed a lot of makeable shots in the 1st half. You knew it was unlikely they would remain that cold, especially from beyond the arc,l the rest of the game (and they didn't).Were the refs a factor?A bit.But you can't pin this loss on them unless you're willing to overlook a hell of a lot of other factors that were our (team)'s fault, not "corrupt officiating". :)

Good game. The Raptors almost stole this game. If there's one thing that the Raptors prove, it's that teams will have to go all out to beat this team

Both teams missed a ton of shots that they usually hit. Would like to see a re-match with both teams being full healthy

She doesn't watch basketball often but the state of the Raps, the game and the league was evidenced right there in OT.

So sad.

What's the point of working hard if it'll be taken away from you.

I told my girl I'll take my frustration out on her if the Raps lose....

LISTEN, I can understand shots not going in, trust me, they were great looks and Lowry missed a ft as well. I just can't stand when a coach doesn't put his team in the best position to win, I can't stand when the refs aren't consistent with their calls. It was clear in the 4th they got us into early foul trouble so we won't be as aggressive and it meant free throws the rest of the way for the blazers. I'm not even talking about the missed calls I'm just talking about the entire flow of the game and stupid calls/non-calls + Casey. When I really think about it, JV wasn't getting calls and I can understand why Casey would bench him because of that, JV was getting murdered and same with Lowry but no calls at all. I just don't like the fact he kept Vasquez/Hansbro in game for that long, even if he put PP and JJ out there instead of those guys we'd be fine. It's a long season so we can certainly learn, it's frustrating cuz you can work so hard and deserve to win but the refs just screw you over like its nothing. I wish I could seriously do something to get those guys canned and embarrassed for how the officiated the game.

Randle McMurphy wrote:Was a good game until the refs got involved near the end. I'm still not sure why Casey didn't call for the team to take a three at the end of regulation. It takes the refs completely out of the equation and you don't want to go to overtime against that team in that building anyway. Nor do I get why Lou Williams or especially Greivis Vasquez continue to get the level of trust that they do, but that's another issue altogether.

Considering how poorly they shot, though, there was still an impressive level of fight shown. I take more good than bad out of this one (other than the continued lack of refereeing respect).

Well, they were 4-22 from three. That might have influenced the decision.

I didn't read all through 22 pages but it seems like everyone is complaining about refs? I thought the calls were fair for both teams the entire game. There were a bunch of 50-50 calls made in Raps favour and same for Blazers.

We can't chalk up close losses to refs. If anything it was our lack of rebounding in OT that killed it. Where the **** was JV? Also why weren't any plays made for Pat? Or even passed to him when he was open? OT play blame goes to Casey.

Secondly, it shouldn't have even gone to OT. I blame this loss on:

TYLER MOTHER **** HANSBRO

This douche made our 10-pt lead diminish almost instantly. Why this fk-tard of a player gets minutes is beyond me.
