And to think many people were upset we passed on McClemore. Guess McD knows what he's doing.

Won't be surprised if Len lands a max or near max contract at the end of his rookie deal.

Noel doesn't have the weight and strength to be a very good center... Yet.

Marcus Camby was wiry but surprisingly strong... Maybe one day Noel can develop similar strength. Len's frame has higher potential to get stronger sooner though.

Noel shoots a terrible percentage compared to Len mostly because he doesn't have Dragic/Bledsoe to feed him easy buckets. Not a knock on Len at all...
Noel needs to develop a better base, his legs are still twigs.
Still waiting for Len to get some post up opportunities. Honestly don't see this happening until next season though. As long as we are hovering around .500 basketball I think Horny will continue to run what's been working.

I wouldn't care who he goes to, as long as he works on his game. My only concern with Olajuwon camp would be another fade away jump shooter. We have enough of those.

I would like him to go to whoever worked with Bynum early in his career.

This... Get him some good teachers... im not sure (i really dont know) how good are suns big man trainers

Well we all love Mark West, but he just didn't have much game at all when he played for the Suns. He had good size, and throughout his career, he learned to just dunk the ball whenever he was close to the basket. But dang if he didn't get called for every possible foul. So when I think of him teaching Len, I get a bit worried, for I feel Len already has the skills that West ended his career with. We need someone that is going to challenge Len to be better.

But I wouldn't wait til the offseason. I'd bring in a vet big that can get a few minutes, but teach Len a lot. That is why I mentioned JO multiple times. Forget any bad blood that there supposed to be present between him and McD. If there isn't a trade that we can do where we obsorb a contract with the cap space, just give JO a decent offer, with the best med staff available. He either wants to play, or he turns it down to be a third stringer on a contender, which to me seems silly, because more than likely he won't make a playoff roster on those deep teams.

JO wouldn't have any trouble getting minutes on Cleve or Dallas.... where would you rather play?

I've been to both cities, is this a trick question?

I'm not really buying this Qwigglez, MCW is pretty good. Also, he is taking too many outside shots. I think if he can get up to 230 pounds (that's +40, I think) and maintain his agility, I think he will be a force. He has great instincts, but not much ability to execute. I have a feeling we will be having Len vs. Noel debates for many years, assuming both stay healthy.

Len's learning rate has been the most amazing part of his game this year. Has anyone run the stats to see how many times in the last 10 years we have had a 6 block game? I am sure we've had some, but can't be that many. Especially at the rate he was doing it, in the last game.

Yeah it's definitely a rare occurrence and nobody except JO was even close to same rate.

Gotta be honest, I didn't expect to see Kieff on there. I don't remember a game when Kieff got 6 blocks in a game; guess I need to pay more attention.

But that's crazy to see 6 blocks in 16 minutes. Like was mentioned, that has to be close to a record in blks/minute played in a game.

Yep, Len is shaping up to be a good one. He just needs more minutes, a mentor to help guide him, and we need to trade Plumlee to get said C. Since the Nuggetts want to trade Mozgov, and we need an upgrade to Plumlee, surely we can work out a deal to satisfy both teams...say...

http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=q8nsehz

Though Mozgov probably wouldn't be the right mentor for Len, but he'd be a better 2nd option than Plumlee, and let's face it, the Nuggets have McGee and Nurkic, so they wouldn't need to play Plumlee much once McGee returns from his injury. And if we trade IT AND Green as part of the package, this trade would be fine by me!

http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=qgeqpsv

Not sure how I got around to including 2 trade machine options in a thread about Len, where Len is nowhere near part of the trade is beyond me.

I'd do the second one in a hearbeat, too bad Denver wouldn't.

But...but...but...the trade machine tells us it would mean +8 wins for Denver, and -7 wins for us, so surely Denver would want to take that advantage, right?

First did a search between 1984 - 2014 but it was full of Manute Bol games and the game was so different back then.
I totally missed that Bismack Biyombo game in november, 6 blocks in 12 minutes

Thanks for digging this up on bkref. That is a very interesting list. Love seeing Marion on there multiple times. He was a heck of a player for the Suns.....

Also noting that Alex was the second youngest to do it since Andris Biedrins. O'Quinn and Stiemsma also on the list....

There have been many times where a player has had over 6 blocks. There have been three 15 block games: Shaq and Manute Bol (twice). Ive included a link from basketball ref that show all time block stats.

http://www.basketball-reference.com/leaders/blk_game.html

I think the real question would be what player had 6 blocks earliest in their career.

I like your sort table the best. Most blocks in a game in under 20 minutes. Thats a somewhat exclusive club.

That would be Anthony Davis, not surprisingly, although Tmac was the second youngest player (by a day) to achieve 6 blocks or more. Alex Len ranks #56. (http://bkref.com/tiny/XJWXQ)

A bit of a frivolous statistic, but Alex Len and Javale Mcgee are the only players to achieve six blocks in 16 minutes or less at 21 years or younger (both games were against Philadelphia, too)
