Why are some posters saying our bigs did a much better job of controlling Vucevic last night than Big Al did the last time we played the Magic?

Vucevic was still hitting those short range hooks and mid range J's last night just like he did back on Dec 27th.

Last night he had:
20/10/2 (on 8/16 from the floor and 4 of 4 from the line) along with 2 blocks and 1 steal
in 35:23 mins

On Dec 27th he had:
21/11/3 (on 9/19 from the floor and 4 of 4 from the line) along with 0 blocks and 1 steal.
in 34:28 mins

What am I missing here???

What do you think Kemba would have to do to be mentioned in the NBA All Defensive teams discussions?

It was great to see his rebounding numbers spike back up again last night. They were way down in December.

Be in Kyrie Irving's body. Without a doubt in my mind if Kyrie played Kemba's defense the journalists would consider him a top tier defensive PG. It's all about the hype machine sometimes. People listen to the talking heads whether they are right or wrong.

1) as a team we'd need to be a top 10 defense for people to begin recognize kemba's contributions
or
2) lead the league in steals, that always gets the attention of voters, even if steals dont always = great defense.
3) stop going under screens

sarcastic comment
4) grow 3 inches

Beverley, Wall, Conley, Holiday, Rondo, etc. Kemba's got a lot of catching up to do to be All-Defensive.
Humble yourself.

Among their peers, our best defenders when regarding their DRPM are :

Lance : #14
MKG: #23
Cody: #28
Biyombo: #42
Kemba: #52

Thanks but.

Lol. That's a very flawed statistic. Pablo Prigioni a better defender than CP3 and Westbrook? MCW a top 5 PG defender? Elfrid Payton, the same guy Kemba has scorched for 30 plus multiple times this year?

He's not All-Defensive by any measure. He's a good solid defender but not much more. Wall, Rondo, Conley, Westbrook, and many others have him beat there.

No, not even close. He looks better than he is because of MKG, Hendo, Biz, and at times a few others saving him.
