Amare was money off both pick and rolls and pick and pops while being a 25+ PPG scorer at good efficiency. Davis is Amare nothing.

Well ED is athletic, explosive, and aggressive towards the basket -- that's Amare-lite-ish for sure.

Ofc 2003-2008 Amare was a whole different beast with a ton more offensive capabilities, but it takes two to tango for the P&R. Amare had Marbury and prime Nash and the perfect system.

By no means do I want ED as the #2 option -- but having any other 10-15M/year PG would be HUGE all around (please not Dragic). That's for a whole different topic though.

I look at Ed as more athletic version of AC Green, not in playing style but in overall impact and what he could provide the team going forward if he is around and we're eventually contending again.

JO's game was very different than Davis'. Shooting and rebounding. Davis has more energy, can't make his own shots but does put in the effort. JO became the focal point of the offense. JO could shoot.

OT: Do you remember watching stat lines at a restaurant or somewhere w/ a small screen where you thought J O'Neal's stats were Shaq's. Early/mid 2000s. People forget how good JO was for a hot minute before Malice.
Lakers are 22-3 in OT last 6 seasons:Kobe best OT closer!
