Re: Discussing Other Teams' Moves Part 4
I said it before, Smith to the Rockets made no sense for him or the team. He still thinks his place is in the starting five, jacking up jump shots. and not high energy post player off the bench.
But just to speculate here.
Does any one else thing that Bass and/or Wright from the C's to the thunder makes to much sense not to happen. Perk, + plus a 1st, and/or 2ed and player rights? Maybe Lamb or Jones ? something of that combination.

Boogie Cousins getting meningitis, and the resulting losses which occurred in his absence, gave the Kings' ownership the opportunity to fire a good coach for their own preference. I am glad that Sacramento is lost.
They are without visionary leadership, without cohesion, have poor continuity, and are missing the camaraderie which Mike Malone had established this season.
Demarcus Cousins for Gortat/Nene and multiple picks is more of a possibility now.

Firing the coach when they did was wrong.

Say they face Cleveland first round and try to outscore them... good luck with that, lol.
The east playoffs are going to be fascinating to watch this year. Totally opposite the big three Heat era when you knew who would win.
Right now the ATL Hawks are atop. But does anybody have them in the Finals?

So is trading for Rudy Gay. Yikes.

Gery Woelfel @GeryWoelfel
Sources tell me that Bucks center Larry Sanders recently told some Bucks officials that he doesn't want to play basketball anymore.

He may not want to play basketball anymore but I guarantee you he still wants to get paid like he does. If he was really serious he'd retire and give up the guaranteed money... but of course he won't.

Bucks fans are doubtful of the accuracy of Woelfel's report. Of course, it would probably behoove Sanders and the Bucks to get in front of this, and say it's BS. If they say nothing, the implication is - it's true.

Yep Ruzious - I think watching him it is more true than not. Not sure it is a B&W thing... more a shade of grey. Still - happy we didn't trade for him (at this point).

I wonder if Sanders is a bit of the NBA's version of Ricky Williams. It may be a little different due to the contract differences with money being guaranteed in the NBA.

That seems horrendous for Cleveland. Not sure how New York turns J.R. Smith into Reggie Jackson - Zen Master for GM of the year.

Looks like the deal is:
Knicks trade: JR Smith+Shumpert for Kirk+Amundsen+Lance Thomas+future 2nd rounder
OKC trade: Lance Thomas+future 1st+Future 2nd for Waiters
Cle trade: Waiters+Amundsen+Kirk for JR Smith+Shumpert+future OKC 1st.

I think it's very likely depression. This is what I posted on the article:
This reminds me of when WNBA player Chamiqua Holdsclaw retired from basketball at the age of 29 or 30.
Depression can take the joy out of something you're gifted to do.
If there's substance abuse and other issues, the number one thing Larry Sanders needs is to get himself the proper kind of help to deal with issues affecting his life and his health. There should be a way to grant a medical leave of absence if there are issues that prevent him from playing. Sanders is probably not thinking correctly if he wants to walk away from $44M.

I love this. J.R. Smith is gonna destroy Cleveland from within. One less Eastern conference rival for the Wizards to worry about.

Interesting.
Gotta chew on that. JR Smith and Shumpert sounds like a nice add for CLE.
I think for them, they are just happen to mix things up and move Waiters.
Now Waiters on OKC. He might just get it together there.
Look decent for all teams involve on initial glance.

Re: Discussing Other Teams' Moves Part 4
I was wrong about Josh Smith ... and I'm going to walk to the edge of the cliff one more time:
JR AND SHUMP IF HEALTHY WILL MAKE CLEVELAND VERY DANGEROUS.
Explosive scorer, Smith. Shump seems damaged, but was a formidable player on a 50+win Knicks team just a couple seasons ago.

With Cleveland getting the 1st(even though it is likely to be late) it makes the deal a little better for them, but still not sure that would tempt me to take on J.R. Smith's contract. I am not really sure why they didn't just take the picks and Lance Thomas from the Thunder.
I think dumping J.R. Smith's deal is good deal for the Knicks even if it did cost them Shumpert.

If not that much more then Waiter and its a year shorter.
