The Cleveland Cavaliers have a deal in place to trade Dion Waiters.

The Oklahoma City Thunder and New York Knicks are involved in the trade talks, according to Brian Windhorst of ESPN.

If it's basically Reggie Jackson for Waiters then I'm done with Presti.

The Cavs trading Waiters and getting back JR Smith is Laughable.. Knicks getting Jackson, and dumping JR Smith is a great move!! Knicks won this deal by a land slide.. Oak City is pushing KD and Westbrook out of town?? I hope the people running Oak City know what they are doing because they are 2 years away from being star less and the laughing stock of the NBA

On Harden being MVP of this season ( I don't even like Harden much)

There's zero mention of Jackson in this, and NBA reporters have said he's out of the deal for the past half hour. It's looking like a boring thing in which NYK dumps the salaries of Shump + JR, and OKC gets Waiters to facilitate it (and cuz the Cavs don't have any use for him).

Did you miss the part where Cleveland gets Shumpert as well?... improvement if not a lateral move to me. What's laughable is calling OKC "Oak City" as if that's shorter or cooler... even though it's not, & also inaccurate. No one calls Oklahoma City that.

There seems to be confusion on who is going where ! Not confirmed jackson is coming to New York although that would be awesome ! JR is a waste and shumpert can play decent D and have a good game now and then but is injury prone so Knicks get rid of drift wood.
Time to rebuild and maybe by 2015 they will be contenders by the time anthony is washed up or gone already ! Lmfao

I know right? They desperately need a defensive center with Varajao out of the season. What's the point of getting JR Smith and Shumpert? I would think you're better off with Waiters coming off the bench.

Plan is just to dump Smith/Shump and save a bit more money for the upcoming offseason. Get a top pick this year and then have space for 2 big FA signings. That simple.

All I have to say as a Knick fan is Bye to both Iman and JR. One must be the dumbest player I have witnessed and the other is an injury prone"SG" that has shot 39% for his career. GTFO and don't come back.

Sixers should claim Dalembert off waivers and then trade him to a playoff contender to get this....another second round pick.

Because hes done such a terrible job creating a contending franchise less then 3 years after being placed in as GM right?
Just a horrible job!

Luckily, Jackson is no where in the deal. However, we can now trade him and Lamb to possibly bring in a more long term back up option.

OKC won this deal by a mile. Lance Thomas for Dion? Almost like Masai Ujiri fleecing the Knicks. The Knicks just gave up a bad contract I guess, which we won't know if it's a good deal or not until Phil has some time next year to build the roster. And the Cavs, MAJOR loss. Not only do they give up 2 more big guys, they get JR and who knows how well he will do with Lebron, Love, Kyrie and all of those egos. Cleveland better have something else up their sleeve or they will just go deeper and deeper into the pit of the East.
