Someone on the Brooklyn board is suggesting Brook Lopez for IT, Gerald and Archie. Hmm. Make it Randolph and I think we might be a possibility here. Its worth thinking about anyway.

They say he can't run and would get killed in the WC.

I jump on that trade. I think Lopez is worth the gamble. I don't think we can afford to lose IT and Green. Gotta keep one.

Don't trade 3 guards for him though.
Keep one and send them a first with two of them.

Would be nice to keep archie...

A's over Royals. Lester and experience will prove that he's worth the trade.

Tigers winning it all. Tigers are, imo, peaking at the right time.

If it was just IT and Green, i MIGHT do it.

The whole idea is seeing what Archie can really do, and that would require us to trade IT/Green to give Archie minutes. So to give him up along with IT/Green would just be kind of dumb in my eyes.

One good thing for Lopez is that he can play both PF and C, so he would get plenty of minutes seeing how we really dont have a good back-up for either of those positions.

We don't need Lopez. He is a scoring big man that doesn't rebound much and isn't much of a defender and just a so so rim protector.

We have a top five offense. If we go for a big, we need a defensive big who can really protect the rim and guard the west bigs, or someone who provides energy and a ton of rebounding. Asik is a decent example of the first, and Jordan Hill of the second (though I don't see either of those guys getting traded). I'm guessing New Orleans would like to keep Asik and probably re-sign him unless they want AD at center full time since Anderson plays stretch four. If that's the case and they want a backup pg, then who knows...maybe it's a possibility.

Plus, Lopez is NEVER healthy. He's not worth clogging up our cap room if he isn't what we need and is so injury prone. I'd rather just give Len more minutes and even rather have Plumlee continue to back him up then pay Lopez that kind of money.

If they want to get rid of him it's for a good reason and they are already in position to get the 8 seed, so it would be to just improve.

Luckily McD wouldn't go for him in a million years anyway.

Just one more year (PO) for a little under $17 million.

That's not so bad then.

I like Lopez on the Suns for only one reason....he provides low post scoring.

Right now the Suns are a team that lives and dies by 3 and transition offense. If they can't hit their 3s and if other teams gets back on defense, the game is over.

It would be nice to have a scoring threat who doesn't need to chuck it away. Suns have one of the worst half court offenses in the NBA imo so Lopez will help big time there.

I would be concerned about his health but with only 1 more yr remaining on his deal, it's not so bad.

I wonder if him and Len would be able to play together as starters.

He is not starting over Markieff. That means you want him to come off the bench, probably play 15-20 mins a game earning that much money? Suns are not that dumb.

C'mon on guys....

Jordan hill has a team option next year so he is basically an expiring contract that can be resigned for less.

If Len can be the rim protector, I don't mind Lopez...his D can't be worse than Markieff, and his post game is much better. I don't know if he could play with Len but I would guess he could, at least eventually.

I would think Bled, Tucker and Len can be sufficient on D, allowing Lopez to slack from time to time.

Bled-Dragic-PJ-Lopez-Len looks pretty interesting on paper

Oh ya, and he's 26 years old (not counting injury worries)...I recall McD saying he'd like to add a big player in the 20-25 range to our core. Not far off.

You have to send someone else to make the salaries work. Randolph would be a candidate and the guy they just got from Detroit would too I guess. It would have to be IT, then another medium salary player (either Green or PJ), plus a lower salaried player (Randolph, or Mitchell). If you don't want to give up Green or PJ, you are going to have to include 4 players, which would be IT, Randolph, Mitchell, plus one of Zoran, Miles, TJ, Ennis, or Archie.

This is something I could the Suns jumping on

http://basketball.realgm.com/wiretap/23 ... e-Calderon

Veteran pass first type guy and is a decent shooter.

NYK looking for young blood, maybe Warren + Min 2nd rd picks?

Not something I would care much for but regardless something the Suns could do.

Because we don't have enough pg's already? A 33 year old pg is just what we need.

Haha. Boom.

These are numbers without the context. Nobody is trying in New York.

He is better than that and not that things are great in Cleveland, but he will improve.

I think he's joking. He always says he could see the Suns going after another pg.

Yeah, otherwise the front office would have given Channing Frye $8-$9M per year. Suns ain't gonna do that.

You must not know Ryan McD pretty well.

Adding another vet PG guard gives us 2 fresh veteran PGs on the floor at all times.

Only thing silly about that trade would be the fact that there's no way in hell NYK accepts it. I think we should add Len and the LAL pick, that ought to get it done. If not, then we can pass and just sign Reggie Jackson this coming summer instead.
