Masked armed men stormed a islam critical magazine's office and gunned down a lot of people in there.

Religion or not, there would still be problems; people would still disagree and there would still be problems like this.

Not a chance. Crazy people will always find something to be crazy about. Without religion people would start fighting about hair color. Doesn't matter.

Problems are based on stupid people such as these persons, not religion.

Agreed. But stupid people tend to take religion to extreme levels.

Charlie Hebdo has been a target of extremists for a long time, they're sort of like an aggressive Onion I guess. They don't really care about offending anyone and might actually go out of their way to do so sometimes.

Truly sad what happened to them, I'm not sure how they'll recover.

Unfortunately we're not unfamiliar with terrorist attacks:

http://www.cnn.com/2015/01/07/europe/fr ... index.html

But what it's done on Islam has gotten the most attention and garnered the most vitriol.

Its last tweet before Wednesday's attack featured a cartoon of ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi and the words, "And, above all, health."

Earlier cartoons depicting the Prophet Mohammed -- depictions that are deplored by Muslims -- spurred protests and the burning of the magazine's office three years ago.

Looks like the "Religion of Peace" at it again.

People who murder in the name of God are cowards, pure and simple.

This is the reason I have nothing to do with organized religion. Too many people preaching hate and hiding behind the name of God to excuse or defend their actions. Obviously, these terrorists are an extreme example of that, but every religion has leaders who preach hatred against those who aren't exactly "like them", who don't believe the same things, who dare to speak out against what someone does or says. It sickens me.

My thoughts go out to the victims and the victims' families of this horrific attack.

Sorry, Nucky, I cant allow that comment to slide. I tried to, but I just cant.

This has got nothing to do with Islam.

Or no religions, says Mr. Lennon. And no, these problems wouldn't just go away. Some other type of extremism would fill the void to some extent, most likely. Nationalism. Regionalism. Some other ism that the weak can cling to as a way to create a sense of meaning and self.

(I don't mean being religious is weak. I'm referring to extremists who resort to violent extremes for a cause.)

This has got nothing to do with Islam.

Almost as ridiculous to say it has "nothing" to do with Islam as to say it has "everything" to do with it.
