THIS.

Unfortunately, not the case. Cleveland is going all-in and mortgaging their near future for a legitimate shot. I don't blame them because I'd do the same thing.

Seems like an overpay at that price. Mozgov is currently being outplayed by a rookie.

Mozgov contract is an absolute steal.

Good trade for both teams, Denver gets picks (likely late) but they now have the ability to package and move up the draft board now.

Great pickup for the Cavs. Mozgov is exactly the kind of center they need.

Pretty much this.

Right now it sounds just like it did when all that was revealed was Waiters for JR Smith.....then the rest of the deal came out, and most were like 'oh, ok'.

I still don't love the idea of moving two picks, but the OKC one (if included) is a little like house money.

Who cares about the picks! Cavs need to win now. That would be a nice pick up by the Cavs...

2015 first round draft pick from Memphis
Memphis' 1st round pick to Cleveland protected for selections 1-5 and 15-30 in 2015, 1-5 and 15-30 in 2016, 1-5 in 2017 and 1-5 in 2018 and unprotected in 2019 [Cleveland-Memphis, 1/22/2013]

2015 first round draft pick from Oklahoma City
Oklahoma City's 1st round pick to Cleveland protected for selections 1-18 in 2015, 1-15 in 2016 and 1-15 in 2017; if Oklahoma City has not conveyed a 1st round pick to Cleveland by 2017, then Oklahoma City will instead convey its 2018 2nd round pick and 2019 2nd round pick to Cleveland [Cleveland-New York-Oklahoma City, 1/5/2015]

Chicago has rights to swap picks with the Cavs this year they likely won't so they also have their own 2015 pick however because they have already traded their 2016 pick to Boston I do not think they are eligible to trade their own 2015 pick.

The Memphis pick is guaranteed lottery for 2015/2016 which is interesting if Gasol leaves (which I doubt he will) otherwise its a 2017 non-lottery pick.

OKC pick is heavily protected. Late first rounder when it will be conveyed.

It's a solid haul but these picks given their protections aren't that valuable. I can see why it took both of them to get Mosgov.

Cleveland knows it's all or nothing with Love and Lebron needing to be convinced to be there long term

How can it be called a fire sale if you move one guy to free minutes for a better player?

Bogans trade exception is 5.3M. Mosgov's salary is 4.7M. Will be absorbed using trade exception.

Pretty sure Cleveland is in the tax now.

so Waiters+MEM 1st for Mozgov/Shump/JR....I like it for them. Upgrade...obviously...they filled a lot of holes, became a ton better defensively and got a better scorer off the bench. This is a team that can actually make the finals now...they were headed for a 1st/2nd round exit before.

This is exactly what Cleveland needed. I wouldve made the same move.
