Good that nurkic will play more the rest of the season, bad that jj is our backup C again as long McGee is out.

Mozgov was a cheap deal, but two 1st round picks is ok for me, i was scared we trade him for only on of those picks.

With all due respect to Cleveland, you guys won the hell out of this trade. Two first-rounders for Mozgov!

Full speed ahead with Nurkic, sounds good to me.

Does anyone know when McGee is expected back? Not so thrilled with JJ as the backup.

Good luck at Cleveland, Timofey. Remember that you scored 93 points when you were a member of the Denver Nuggets!

This officially marks the rebuilding period for the Nuggets and it's not a bad start by giving Nurkic more time and two potential late first round picks (depending on the final trade) plus our lottery pick, not bad!

I expect a pretty big overhaul coming up here for the Nuggets. It will be interesting to see if the Nuggets acquire more 1st rounders for a potential Faried,Lawson or Chandler deal.

The biggest thing to the Nuggets' advantage is that you're a lottery team with a bunch of high-salaried players but the front office doesn't seem remotely desperate. It helps that no one's on the books but Faried past 2016..

Overall not a bad deal, especially considering how unremarkable Mozzy has been so far this year.

Highly protected picks. No big winner. Fair trade.

PREDICTION:

Nurkic, currently #6 on one NBA Rookie Ladder will battle #1 Wiggins and #2 Mirotic for ROY honors.

The Thunder pick is top 18 protected so we'll more than likely end up with that one this year. The Grizzlies pick is VERY interesting though...

The pick is ours if it lands between picks 6-14 in the next two years. After that, the 3rd year is only top 5 protected.

If Marc Gasol ends up leaving, Memphis easily could fall into the lottery and the pick is ours.

We basically gave up Mozgov for a late 1st round pick (this year) and a good chance at a lottery pick, $6 million TE and $6 million in cap to free up some room. Not bad for a mediocre Center.

So is Chandler or AA next ?? If were into the rebuild/retool/youth movement...whatever you want to call it, gotta think at least one more move is ahead of us,

Also, do we pick up a body to fill the roster spot ??

Fair trade. Gasol is not going anywhere so I do not see that Memphis pick coming your way for awhile as they will continue to be one of the top teams in the league, but you should get the OKC pick this year. Looking at it from the Cavs perspective I do not see any player available in the 2015 draft in the range where the OKC pick is slated that will come in and give them what Mozgov can.

I didn't think they could get both 1st's out of CLE so well done FO. We do also send a 2015 2nd but that's basically nothing. As stated above there is some crazy protection on the MEM pick but it'll be a decent pick whenever we get it.

TC said in a press conference they still aren't going to "re-build" but the are aware of where they stand. If they continue to play the way they are I see TC making a few more moves.

I hate helping out Cleveland but this is good value for Mozzy. We've had some pretty good success recently drafting in the late first round too.

Wonder who's next. Hopefully Javale!

Never felt Mozzy as our breakthrough center. Nothing against him as a player but he's a sleeper and given the spotlight he was still a bit of a napper...not that he didn't hustle and do well, just that the product wasn't what we were going for. I'm thinking how he might have developed under Karl, but that is frozen and in the past.

LeBron probably didn't want to go the Hickson route and that's fine. Cool opportunity for Mozzy. If he ends up with a ring he'll be the second center LeBron has recruited from us to do so. Lol.

Notice that feeling of immediacy? Mozgov will flourish while around Love and James if he's ever going to flourish. Overall, great move for the NBA in terms of maximizing competition and giving our team a little of its future back.

If the Cavs end up in the finals with the Nuggets next season, remember this moment. Other than that, let's play!

:D
