Collison

James
Love
Cousins

Much tougher team with no real holes.

Seriously consider? That's a no-brainer slam dunk. Of course Cleveland would do it. Sacramento wouldn't though.

I can't see Sacramento getting a significantly better offer?

I'd give them Gortat plus Beal.

Irving/Mozgov is a better offer though. Until Beal gets closer to his ceiling anyways.

nate33 wrote:One of the things that made Mozgov so attractive is his contract. He is paid just $4.8M a year this year and next year. Nearly every starting center in the league makes $11M or more except rookie contract guys and Robin Lopez, (Splitter makes $9.3M). A team like Cleveland that is in the luxtax is really going to value cheap salary.

For this reason, I think the Wizards really should consider shopping Rasual Butler at the trade deadline. If Webster gets his groove back and Porter continues his strong play, Butler is going to be redundant. A contender pushing the luxtax will really be interested in a legit, 3-pt assassin who is paid the vet minimum. He might be worth a late 1st round pick.

If Pierce Butler Beal and Porter can continue to hold down the 2/3 position, I say let Weby rack up as many DNPs as possible. I'd rather have ~5 million extra in cap space in 2016 than take a chance on a late first.

It was in reference to Glen Rice being debated as the right pick and the others available at the time (Including Wolters who we traded away). The topic then became relevant again when Rice was cut, and now 24 hours later, so was Wolters...

Yeah CCJ had to eat some humble pie on that one.

Saw that the Rockets are potentially interested in Jose Calderon. Terry for Calderon straight up works salary-wise, but it eats into Houston's future cap space. Is the upgrade at PG worth it for them?

And if that were to happen, I'm sure Jet would want a buyout. Any interest?

Not really. For one thing, if you think the 2 waivers mean the players are equivalent, then umm... why did we need to give up another pick to swap?

But these guys being waived right now doesn't mean they're equivalent. It doesn't amount to a comparison of any kind.

Lets wait a few months, maybe even a year, and see whether one of them is still in the league. If that's what happens, and the guy is Rice, *then* CCJ (and I and a few others) may need to "eat some humble pie." If it's Wolters, the opposite -- in which case *more* humble pie will need to be eaten by those who supported a trade in which we gave up a player and a pick for a non-player.

But, hey, maybe they'll both be in the league -- always want to wish young players the best, so lets hope that's what happens!

Ainge has gutted the Celtics, with mostly protected picks that could very well end up as future seconds to show for it. Not sure I'm impressed, especially since he couldn't parlay any of those assets to dump Gerald Wallace.

I read that the Celts really like James Young and they want to play him. Still, it's not clear what Ainge's game-plan is.

You obviously weren't following the conversation.

All I have to say about Rice is that Nate Wolters is still with the Bucks.

Watching the Cavs vs. Warriors game, Mozgov is looking like an incredibly pickup in limited minutes.

Load down low, terror on the offensive glass and some nice defense.

The Cavs may have gotten a LOT better with those two moves.

I am a little upset that Phil Jackson might have given Lebron a championship. J.R. Smith and Iman Shumpert both are capable of bringing athleticism in transition like the Miami Heat teammates Lebron James won with.

Mozgov is going to be a big help also, queridiculo.
