Yeah I'm sorry if I'm being snarky, I just can't grasp how on earth can anyone think the solution to our problems is to add more one-dimensional 1-on-1 offensive players that play no defense.

We have two of the best and most efficient offensive players in the league in Paul and Griffin, who are most effective when they have the ball in their hands. What we need is less Crawford/Collison types and more Redick/Deandre types who can feed off what our franchise players create and be effective on offense without having the ball in their hands too much. And more than anything, we need guys who can play really good defense RIGHT NOW, not hopeless 21 year old projects that maybe, but not likely, can somehow learn to play average defense 5 years from now.

We need to remove Crawford and anyone that takes the ball from Paul/Griffin to much less efficient results, and try to always play one of those two with the bench players, instead of trying to compose our whole 2nd unit with one way offensive players in fear that they cannot score as a group. Remember the last time our bench was really good a couple years ago with the bench mob? what made those guys great? playing freaking DEFENSE like madmen, they came in and put pressure on lesser talented bench guys until they asphyxiated and couldn't score, that's how they expanded the leads the starters left them. We need more of that, not more inefficient one way players that play one against five.

We already have very few assets to trade for the kind of players we need, to be spending them on the type of players we already have a surplus of.

totally agree with qrich. we already have a poor 2nd unit pg and do not need another one. wroten has been every where and there is a reason for that. I feel we should have kept Cunningham and given him a chance. he couldn't be any worse than farmar. I also believe jamal is forcing things because there is no plan or ball movement and therefor he is not playing well. we need to keep the starters staggered with the second unit. let jamal be the pg and not be forcing 30 ft. 3's. with another scorer with him like blake, jj, cp3, you would have a more balance 2nd unit. what the clips really need is a solid defensive player at the 3.

There are 2 major problems with the 2nd unit.

1. We dont have anyone who can create offense outside of Crawford.
2. The defense is terrible.

Adding Wroten fixes one of those things. He allows Crawford to play off the ball as a spot up shooter until the offense fails and we kick out to him for a bail out shot, which is what we do as soon as we cross halfcourt.

Again, I dont think its a great fit, I think its an outside the box idea that makes sense because all we have on the 2nd unit are guys that cant create and/or shooters. Why not try to add a speedy shot creator with the hopes that with talent around him, he can begin to play somewhat under control?

Im not giving up much for him, so if the 76ers want the sky, he isnt worth the thought. If we can move a Wilcox and some smaller pieces in a 3-way to land him, im all for it. Like I said, I doubt that moves the needle, but you never know what the 76ers value.

The biggest concern is the SF position, and someone who can defend and shoot or create his own shot. The price for someone like that is going to be even more than Wroten, again, unless we make a run at Lance.
Plus, why would I want to go to the NBA? Duke players suck in the pros.

Wroten's been two places. Memphis and Philly. Only reason Memphis got rid of him because they had Conley and wanted a vet backup PG

Agreed. I'm all for adding youth and athleticism, but it has to actually fill a need. Unfortunately, Doc has tunnel vision and only ever wants aging veterans and/or no-defense streetball iso-chuckers. He has no concept of how to build a winning team in today's NBA.

This is a video from the Philly reporter that confirmed the Clippers' interest. Nothing groundbreaking.

Ever since the news broke of the Clippers apparently being interested in Wroten he's been tweeting how much he loves Philly lol. Guess he doesn't want to get traded.
