Excellent trade. All that we're sending is the Minnesota 1st which will turn into two second rd picks anyway.

No more watching Miles Plumlee play is the best part of this deal.

Wright is a nice upgrade over him.

Good job McD! :D

Yea. Its a backup we desperately needed though. Plumlee has been awful this year.

A's over Royals. Lester and experience will prove that he's worth the trade.

Tigers winning it all. Tigers are, imo, peaking at the right time.

Good stuff, he will be more useful than Plumlee. I've see his game and he is hitting 72% of his fg granted most of them are alley oops and easy fg but that's exactly what Phoenix needs down low.

Is Wright a bit of a bruiser? could be just what the Doctor ordered against the Griz on Sunday

113/156 = 72% fg and his ft shooting is excellent too for a PF/C at 73.1%. In 17 min he averages 7.5 pgg, 3.6 rb and 1.3 blocks. Very good pickup for the Suns.

Love how BSOTS wrote about this just yesterday:

Brandan Wright - replacing Miles Plumlee with someone more consistent would be nice, and Wright fits that bill. Even better, he's free agent this summer meaning the trade cost won't be high (a second rounder or two, or the Minny pick?)

Not at all, he can block shots and all that, but 1on1 he is soft and terrible.

I wonder if Wright will be ready to play in the Grizz game on Sunday. Lord knows we can use all and any big man we can get for that game.

LOVE the trade.
Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming Wow! What a Ride!-H.S.T.

Suns desperately needed a better player inside that can score at a better rate then Plumlee and they got him. I'm giving this trade A- for now.

The Phoenix Suns have waived Tony Mitchell to create a roster spot for Brandan Wright.

Wright was acquired from the Boston Celtics for future draft considerations.

Phoenix recently dealt Anthony Tolliver to the Detroit Pistons for Mitchell.

Nice move by McD. This creates more competition at the PF and C spot. Marcus and Plumlee now have someone breathing down their necks. Perform or it's next man up.
