It's January 9th, there are 40 days to the trade deadline. It's not necessary to move Wright now, unless there's a follow-up move on the way. The Rondo trade was ok, but he blinked first. Now he's blinked again. Do we really think Phoenix gave them an ultimatum like 'Deal us Wright now or we go in a different direction?' 40 days for another team to miss out on the big man they want, 40 days for someone to get injured, 40 days for teams to re-evalutate their needs. You can't get two second-rounders for Wright in 40 days?

I'll admit that my trade proposals skew toward long shots.. But look at the Pierce trade. Our best offer was a Cleveland first, then the Brooklyn thing came together. No need to deal Wright now. Hoping the details of the trade change when it's official- like PHO sends us a first-rounder if we don't get the MIN pick..

Andy this is good thinking, but there's SO MUCH to move that I can't fault him for starting early. Might get more later, but situations might change so you don't know. And we've got games to lose and youngsters to evaluate - while still showcasing e.g. Bass and Thornton - in the meantime.
