I don't know about this.....I thought it too and tried to predict what teams would be sellers next season. I don't think any of the top ten teams out west are going to fall enough to start selling vets. and the East has so few great players that they're all on playoff teams by default. Most of the really bad teams are also really young teams.

Brooklyn of course will probably be selling if they don't trade those three guys this season, if charlotte stinks again maybe Big Al, maybe Denver blows it up the the extent that Ty Lawson becomes available....or Sacramento gives up and puts Cousins on the block. Those last two are wishful thinking though, and not likely to be traded before other role players on those teams. Kobe fits the classic description of a vet who should be available in this scenario, but he's not leaving, and the Celtics aren't cashing in for one season of him.

Now we need Smart and Young to pan out because KO and Sully haven't been all that great and look like role players, ditto with Zeller.

I know and never understood that logic. Cheering for ping pong balls is such loser ****

Cheering for 35 wins and the 11th pick in the draft is all win, though.

I said that where exactly?

Heaven forbid I don't want to be an absolute garbage team with a GM whose vision revolves around keeping his fingers crossed for the forseeable future

The Goal in the NBA is to win a Championship/Championships. That's what I judge my team by . Add making the playoffs too.

I mean, it's really either one or the other, though. There is no scenario in which this team as currently constructed can suddenly vault itself into contender status.

Well, not mad, but one assumes that by calling tanking "loser ****", you were in favor of the alternative.

I could be wrong about that. Maybe you wanted them to give up future assets to make a run for the 6th seed this year?

Cool. Name another team below .500 you'd rather be going forward.

No. It's assets. Draft picks. I think we need to trade Sully, Oly, Smart, Young, and Stevens while they still have worth and get more assets to flip later.

Einstein proved there's no way to go from 35 wins to 60. The route to 60 must start with less than 12 wins. Fact.

Winning is for losers.
My name's Henry Connor.
Conner Henry was a Celtic.
Hence the pun.

I hope it's next season because I don't want to actually have to watch my team have 6 rookies in 2016-2017. the shear amount of picks he's accumulated kind of forces the issue, because if he doesn't cash them in then we're going to set the record for players with rookie contracts on the roster. We wouldn't be any better than Philly with that kind of team.

True enough. But Danny could also trade some of the picks for future picks. Happens all the time on draft night. Or use a couple of them to move up a few spots, also happens often. What all those picks definitely do is create OPTIONS. And options are gooooood....

Jeff Green would be playing if this wasn't a done deal. Can't imagine them going back on this after taking the guy out of the shoot around. This is done one way or the other.
