No. It's assets. Draft picks. I think we need to trade Sully, Oly, Smart, Young, and Stevens while they still have worth and get more assets to flip later.

Einstein proved there's no way to go from 35 wins to 60. The route to 60 must start with less than 12 wins. Fact.

Winning is for losers.

Hey, just ride that tank right to Philly land. Heck, sell the franchise. Put the Red Claws team on the floor. Embrace the tank and forget wit and be a GreenMachine

Cheering for 35 wins and the 11th pick in the draft is all win, though.

I said that where exactly?

Heaven forbid I don't want to be an absolute garbage team with a GM whose vision revolves around keeping his fingers crossed for the forseeable future

Well, not mad, but one assumes that by calling tanking "loser ****", you were in favor of the alternative.

I could be wrong about that. Maybe you wanted them to give up future assets to make a run for the 6th seed this year?

This is just a nightmare scenario to me.

I get it, Ainge had to go all in after trading Rondo. If there were impactful players available Ainge would have certainly tried to get them if it made sense. None were available.

This is going to be a long and painful rebuild. As long as it doesn't take another 20 years I can't really complain much.

Well, it could be that they are still working the details out and the Celtics are just holding Green out to avoid the risk of injury.

It shows how dumb the NBA is. The Celtics, because of the cap, could never get another great player to go with Rondo and Green. So, what happens is there is no incentive to keep Rondo and Green because we need to get rid of that salary to clear the deck for acquiring that anchor player.

It can't happen until these guys left.

Deal is agreed too. Not official. not too hard to understand. It's just paperwork and trying to do things to execute the trade. If we were still negotiating assets, Green would be playing.

Yeah, how dare anyone question the omnipotent Ainge and his tanking minions. They have incontrovertible facts about how the only way to win is to ... lose.

Supposedly there is a 3rd team involved and that is the hold up...

Yup, Los Globetrotters. Ainge is getting Vitor back.

No. He wouldn't. If there were only minor hang-ups being worked out, Green would not be playing.

What the heck are we supposed to get for a player we don't want on his walk year that isn't a star? Someone enlighten me. Mozgov is a center going to a team that desperately needed size and that was worth 2 first round picks. Green? He can walk. Lucky we got 1.

I'm not sure why this is surprising to anyone that watched Ainge dismantle the Obie team. I remember being at a playoff game right after he was hired and hearing him say "we're gonna turn this thing around." which is a pretty disappointing thing to say right before a playoff game. But he swung for the fences and won. Hope he can do it again.

I think we will be cooking by the summer of 2016. We have flexibility and assets up the yay, have collected an arsenal of assets. Many are lottery tickets, but with the sheer number of them, several should pan out (Thanks, Billy King).

And we have the ability to go *completely* over the top in any trade market that arises. In fact, we can do that twice while still retaining a ton of our prospects and assets (something that previously proved crucial when we were able to trade for Ray and KG while retaining Rondo, Perk and TA).

LOL... these trades sure broke a lot of brains around here.

Flashbacks to similar emofests after Jefferson was traded for KG and when KG and Pierce were dealt to the Nets.

Relax, people.

The Free Agent class for 2016 is great. Lebron, Durant, Aldridge, Anthony Davis etc.

At Yahoo Sports, Woj says they're waiting on "authorization" from a third team- which means they've agreed to a deal and need the GM and/or ownership of the third team to sign off on it.
