Usually, not as much movement happens as people would think but if it does, its going to be big news.

LeBron - Maybe he leaves if they don't win a title. Maybe
Bosh - may leave even if they do win a title. Maybe
Wade - Hard to see him leaving Miami but if LeBron leaves and they don't land a big name, maybe
Melo - he isn't staying in NY. Thats the big news right now.
Gasol - I think he stays LA and they add a name from above. Kobe, Gasol and ?
Boozier - Will be a UFA if clears waivers but someone will likely gobble him up. Highly rumors to get moved.
Greg Monroe - hard to get excited about him with all those other big targets but if other don't move.
Dirk - He isn't going anyway. Will retired in Dallas. I hoped to get him but they reloaded. Dirk, Ellis and ?
Isaiah Thomas - Will be leave SAC ? Actually a huge target that might not get talked about a lot right now.

Deng - CLE has to resign him or they got screwed.
G Haywood - would look nice in a Wizards Uni
Lance
Patrick Patterson QO 4,319,473 TOR
Turner - would play the Iggy role on a good team. If he lands on one, probably only for MLE.
Gay - he is taking the player option. No way he gives up the last big 19M he will ever see.
Spencer Hawes - will he stay in CLE. If so, Kyrie, Deng and Hawes is a decent core. But not great.
AK47 - they saw he is worth more the 3M. I say not much more.
Rodney Stuckey
Granger- LAC should go all in to resign him and blow to cap. Go for it.
Thabo Sefolosha
Chris Kaman - CAVEMAN
Kris Humphries - I would take him on the team for as a back up. He has to be gone from Boston.
Emeka Okafor - I would love to have him back at the vet Min for one year.

haha... Saw that FA thread and thought I remembered seeing one before. And I found this gem.

Nice.

Lebron, Wade, Dirk, Duncan, Gay, Stephenson and Bledsoe aren't going anywhere. I think it's highly unlikely that Bosh goes anywhere either. That leaves just Melo as the only superstar free agent.

There are only a handful of free agents who are good, reasonably young, and definitely a possibility to change teams. Unfortunately, most of them are probably going to get overpaid:

Isaiah Thomas
Hayward
Monroe
Ariza
Gortat
Lowry
Deng

After that, there's a bunch of quality backups/borderline starters who won't change the fortunes of any franchise but could help with depth. Guys like: Hawes, Bradley, Mo Williams, Stuckey, Frye, Kaman, Davis, Thabo, Okafor, Hill, Blatche, and Beasley. The trick here is to wait and see which guys slip through the cracks and can be bought for cheap.

There are a couple of still-hanging-on vets that could legitimately help a team for the next year or two. I'm thinking of Pau Gasol, Randolph and maybe Paul Pierce. On a 1-year or 2-year deal, they could make sense.

Started as a rough post but at lest got the Paul Pierce reference in there.

I missed on Lebron and Stephenson. I nailed literally everything else in that post.

Well those were kind of the big ones. No ?

Isaiah Thomas
Hayward
Ariza
Deng

Monroe
Gortat
Lowry

Not picking on your but ( just friendly banter)..we know TA was pretty much a 50-50 thing and more likely gone then not because he would have needed to sign a 2 year with us.

Those other ones.. I think we pretty much all know they were moving.

The one that was highly rumored to move was Monroe. Gortat ? We did really well to get him to stay and got him off the market with a quickness.

Return to Washington Wizards
