If he has the talent that J.McGee has without the bonehead crap then i'll take that all day long but he seems like he'll need some time to develop so the question would be if we're alright to wait??

Well, after what Phil said today, they are going to look at what is best long term, if the Knicks truly do like Towns versatility the best, then they would take him over Okafor.

May end up with Towns anyway. Knicks would luck and/or maybe Adam Silver pulling a few strings, to get Okafor.

NCAA a little weak with the foul calls. that wasnt a foul on Towns imo.

Kentucky is god awful

Seriously, Calipari is such a bad coach, nothing, like nothing to see.

I prayed & prayed all preseason for Towns, I hoped that we'd have the foresight to get him, it was looking real shaky that we'd go after the "sure thing" but yes potential outweighs everything else. We really might choose him.

The boys are back in Towns 8-)

I don't really blame Towns. Calapari has stunted his development with the style he is coaching. He's basically playing a deep rotation, and in the process there isn't a player that is the go-to guy at the end of games.

The real problem with the Wildcats is that this is one of the worst back courts he's had. The year of Teague was horrific, but this year with the Harrison's has been brutal. I sort of hope Kentucky loses here so that undefeated crap can be lifted off their shoulders.

he has a starting backcourt pretty capable of playing, in the bench

the problem with thew Wildcats is the same as always, the team has no identity because Calipari is a terrible coach.

Agree to disagree. There's a long list of NBA player career graves that have the word potential sketch on to the headstone. Not saying Towns is a scrub or he doesn't have talent, But it's seriously hard to judge just how good he would be in the NBA when he barely gets the necessary run in the college ranks to measure him adequately. I wish he didn't go to Kentucky

Anywho.. good game here.. Double OT

If we get Towns, I think we have to get Dragic this summer. He would bring out the best in him the same way he bought out the best in Channing Frye in my opinion. Plus having Towns would allow Melo to slide to PF at times. I think Dragic/Melo/Towns with 2 two way playing wings on the court would give teams alot of trouble.

I think the Knicks have their eyes on Reggie Jackson as the PG. Maybe the Derek OKC connection.

Whatever the outcome is.. we need to HIT on this pick or we will be pushed back 3-5 more years. Our first chance to get a real top 5 pick in such a long time.

Yea, I agree with this. Reggie is still young at 23 or 24, so he and whoever we draft could possibly be a good duo that makes up the core of the team after Melo retires.
