Was Jefferson clogging the lane and setting undesirable screens via pick-and-roll for Kemba? --- rhetorical question

It appears that Kemba is getting back to his ways of attacking the rim the same way he did under Dunlap

I would be lying if I said I didn't kinda miss Dunlap. The guy talked a smart game. Lol. But talk is cheap. He might have been a better coach then the record showed if we had more talent.

As an assistant? Sure. He did well with our guards, but he destroyed Mullens by giving him a year-long green light to chuck threes. He was a terrible head coach.

Dunlap was ahead of the wave or at least a part of it from a philosophy standpoint even if he wasn't able to translate it into simple laymens terms. He wanted us to shoot 3s or layups and eliminate the midrange shot since it was the least efficient shot and now Houston and Golden State play the same way. I'm not saying that he is or was a good coach but maybe he coulda been if he had a longer rope and smarter players. He was a intelligent guy that spoke in ways that made stuff go over your head.........or maybe it was just mumble jumble. Lol

dunlap's problem wasnt his basketball smarts, it was his inability to connect with the players. you can be the smartest basketball guy in the world, but if you cant relate to your players and get them to believe in you, then you are done. he admittedly didnt communicate enough with the players and he should have cut back on the practices during that grueling shortened season. i hope he does well at loyola.

for all clifford's stubborn faults, one thing he does exceptionally well is communicate with the players, getting them to buy into his coaching. that is probably more important at this level than pure basketball xo's (of which clifford is still pretty damn good compared to most).

The only thing I don't like is that it still seems kinda easy for teams to take away the pick and roll and make him kinda useless. Thats where Stephenson could be huge. Another good passer to dump off to would make teams pay for blitzing Kemba like that at the end of games. I want to see Lance and Kemba play without Big Al so badly

Dunlap's been mentioned a lot lately, for a dude who was here a year he definitely left an impression.

Dunlap running a full court press in SL like its a college game should have been a warning. Having 3 hour practices is ridiculous. I recall multiple players absolutely hating on him in player interviews after the season was over. He was a pretty bad coach, and thats probably why hes coaching some division 2 team right now.

Fats make a thread about Kemba having a hell of a 5 game stretch and all I read is hater replying about if it's sustainable and comparing him to Brandon Jennings. Not much if any congrats or pats on the back but a lot of hate. He's been on this upswing since the beginning of December so it's more than just a 5 game stretch of playing well. I want to post on the GB but I know I'd get a suspension so I'll stay away.

Somebody needs to make a highlight reel of Kemba's 2014-2015 plays. As a small market team we're kind of hidden. Kemba's winning shot against the Pelicans didn't even make top play. It was a Barnes putback dunk. People need to be spoon fed Kemba highlights and maybe that will start to sink in. He gets oohs and ahhs on the road as much as some of the superstars in the game and many of the players who have made All-Stars teams. He's entertaining to watch and the NBA needs that in their All-Star game. It's a showcase for talent. Kemba doesn't always get results but his talent is undeniable. It is elite. It's special. And it's fun to watch.

Highlight reels won't change the mind of those fools on the GB, only the most advanced of advanced stats dating back to high school stats. They have their picks of favorite players to nutride and Kemba isn't one of them because he's a volume scorer nevermind his leadership, flashiness, production, intangibles, and the heart he plays with.

I seen it. They just glossed over it to spew their hate and doubts. TSherkin had to throw in his prolonged 2 cents I seen too.

He has no eye for talent. Plug formulas into a computer and perform odd algorithms and you get the Sacramento Kings.

Tsherkin actually made a good post but I know he's just dying to throw some shade.

Let Lowry have a 5 game run like that and the GB and Raps board will be declaring him the best PG in the league when he's on been playing at a star level for 1 year out of 9.
