Would you guys take pick #2 2015 nBA draft for Nurkic?

Portland fan here. Out of curiosity, where does Nurkic pick up most of his fouls?

He puts up beastly blocking numbers, but his fouling is on another planet, and my first impression would be that to tone down his fouling, his shot blocking would be significantly affected.

Awesome prospect though, the fact he is an elite rebounder, can hit the jumper, has a fluid offensive game and can block shots is very impressive.

The Bulls.have a great track record of drafting, like Jimmy Butler, Gibson, Asik (traded for during/just after the draft) to name a few, but they stuffed up this one.

Edit: Can't blame them though as McDermott was a fairly perfect role player for them (in theory).

He picks up most of his fouls because he is a physical player that happens to be a young rookie, which means he is getting called for a lot of fouls that they would not be calling on veterans.

I actually think the last few games, the refs have been letting him become a lot more physical.

I like Nurkic better than Okafor/Towns/Mudiay. Nurkic is a two-way prospect, he will be a guy who you can play 38 minutes per game because of his tremendous impact on both offense and defense. A guy who'll get you 20 and 10 with a ton of defensive stats.

A monster of a prospect, I've been VERY high on him for over a year now but never in a million years expected him to improve this fast.
