Clippers Trying To Find Third Team To Help With Austin Rivers' Trade

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Sun Jan 11, 2015 6:26 pm

The Los Angeles Clippers continue to work on acquiring Austin Rivers from the Boston Celtics.

The Clippers are searching for a third team to help facilitate the trade to give the Celtics an expiring deal along with a second round pick.

Rivers is being dealt to the Celtics from the New Orleans Pelicans as part of the Jeff Green trade.

Why, it won't look good for doc to give up anything worth while. I remember George Karl's son on nuggets and they eventually him cut it wasn't that big of a story like this.

2nd rounder for Austin Rivers. Sounds like a good deal to me. It still remains that SF is the position of need. Hopefully, we can package Austin for a starting SF.

Not sure why the Clippers (aside from family relations) are going for Rivers. Crawford and Redick > Rivers...maybe hes an injury reserve if one of those 2 guys goes down.

How in hell is Rivers going to net you a starting SF? He's been dreadful as a pro, and even though the Pells badly need SG depth they traded him for nothing. He's a dim reclamation project at best now, has zero value on his own.

Austin Rivers has been one of the most overrated players to come out of college in the last ten years. To quote a classic.
