Well, he's right.

Blatt is about to be unemployed though.

Trade rumors? You must not know how the NBA works.

Cleveland will send Blatt back to europe on the first thing smoking, before they willingly let Love go.

I believe he is actually making MAX money currently given his time in the NBA.

Well the thing about that is, Love can walk in the offseason and Cavs would get nada

That's also wrong, in 2011 Love signed for the rookie max (4yr/$62 mil) which is the most he could have gotten then with a 4yr deal.

I think he meant that they haven't signed him to a max contract yet.

that's true, but couldn't he have said he isn't getting max salary?

saying "max player" when Love thinks he's a max player I'm sure, might not sit well with him

We'll see Love's response, but that is a good point when looking into context

They don't have to do anything now. But if Love DOES walk, who do you think will be the first head to roll..

Dumb rookie coach mistake. You don't talk about another man's contract.

I kinda liked what he said... about time Blatt actually kinda showed some sort of muscle for once against his players.

...BUT, too bad, because LeBron is the one with the authority in Cleveland.

When dealing with a potential FA who has always been at the highest NBA 'salary bracket' and knows he is valued as a max player around the league (these players all have agents, my friend), you don't tell him that he's not worth max money.

Truth.

Guy puts up empty stats, meaning:
- Offensively, he does not create efficient scoring opportunities for his teammates
- Rebounding-wise, he does not even raise a hand to contest shots so he can instead try to grab rebounds
- Defensively he is laughable both on-ball and off; every big this year has raped him (Boogie, D12, Vucevic, Draymond Green, etc.)

Meanwhile, Blatt has not shown much (why not try a zone defense with terrible individual defenders like Love, Kyrie, M. Miller, etc.)? Still, give him props for calling out this overrated bum Love; it'll probably cost Blatt his job though.

This doesn't show a coaches authority. This just reeks of a desperate move from Blatt to try and motivate his player, and he is going about it the wrong way.
Why so serious?

But thats what I said in my first post. I don't think he meant he's not worth a max.
