Blatt: Kevin Love Isn't A Max Player

Post#83 » by kib0yski » Mon Jan 12, 2015 6:27 am

To be honest i have no problem with Blatt's qoute. I mean really they should be winning games with the talent they have and CLEARLY Love has no impact to the Cavs. He's very good offensively no doubt but common scoring is not enough he has to be effective at both ends shots has been fired and could be Blatt's days are numbered.

Yeah, I take it that Blatt was referring to Love not EXTENDED at MAX yet.. as in his signature isnt on that MAX contract... Kyrie signed it already.

I said this months ago, but ya, i think Lebron is one and done in Cleveland after this year and he doesn't care if the Cleveland fans hate him more after that.

I don't think he will go back to Miami. I think Lebron will look into New York, LA, Dallas, Toronto, and GSW (If they can move Lee and Iguodala). I also wouldn't be surprise if Lebron took as much as a $5 million pay cut to join a good organization.

I think Blatt should coach the Timberwolves.

I think this is a huge overreaction. I believe Blatt was being technical and referring to Love's current contract situation. I highly doubt he intentionally tried to throw shade on Love.

Are we sure he didn't mean it literally? Love isn't making max money yet, right?

Edit: N/m looks like he is making max money

Love might be packing his bags with what Blatt just said. I agree with him, but he still shouldn't have said that. Especially when he can walk in the offseason.

But he is currently a max salaried player.

His current contract is a max contract. He could not be making $1 more than he currently is.

Anyway, it sounds like the context was someone saying "You have two max players, why aren't you playing better?" Sounds like shade to me.

Be on the lookout for rumors of Jr Smiff giving Lebron's mama the pipe in the near future

Well, between this and LeBron essentially admitting he may reunite with DWade, the cavs have had a bumpy season. Strange thing for Blatt to say...as a coach you shouldn't comment on a guy's contract/value, especially in a negative light. Leave that to the GM.

Love to LA, Lebron to Miami, Blatt to Europe, Cavs to the Lottery.

relegating love to a standstill, spot up shooter is making wonders for this team. why doesnt he look to past Adelamn coached Twolves team on how to fully utilize Love's game. he is no Ryan Anderson.

David Blatt is showing us what would happen if David Kahn was a head coach.
