Some of you guys are ridiculous. Blatt OBVIOUSLY wasn't talking about his game, just his contact. While he is technically a max player, he has that week first extension max deal - not the 20+ Mil that a bunch of guys have. That said... it was a TERRIBLE choice of words... and Love very well may take it personally.

Have fun back in Europe! Thanks for making it that much easier for the Lakers to acquire Love.

Believe me. You guys don't want him. I tried to warn Cavs fans this summer. He's a malcontent. He doesn't give effort (running back, defensive rotations), he pouts, he can't create for himself that well, and he's a bottom 5 defensive player in the NBA. You can't win with a guy like that.

Just like a serious science teacher working in an overly religious school district, Blatt is about to get fired for telling the truth.

lol this is out of context

http://www.nba.com/cavaliers/video

I looked at the video and it goes like this

reporter : from the outside people would look at this team and say lebron is out but kyrie irving and kevin love, I mean they're two max players, they're here

blatt : (he's smirking) Kev's not a max player yet...is he?

can't tell what the reporter says after

blatt : what does that mean?
reporter : it means that they are amongst the top players in the league
blatt : ok

LOL WE GOT TWITTER SWINDLED, I would think... I knew something was a lil fishy about this. I mean he doesn't say anything about Love after but... as much as I'd like this to be fun, doesnt seem like anything.

Maybe they need their egos broken.

I like it. If Love sooks it up enough to want to leave after this, then stuff him. They'll get some players who aren't so precious and want to play for the team in return (either through trade, sign-and-trade or free agency).
It's such a fine line between stupid and clever.

I'd love to trade Kevin Love. Who can we get in return? He can still leave this summer...

Even if he would have meant it the way some people interpreting his words..he would be right. There is no way , that a team consisting of Love , Irving and a couple of Ok or good role players should be missing the playoffs in THIS Eastern Conference withouth Lebron. Ridiculous and sad at the same time.

What exactly is it that he wants?

If it's "to win", then he needs to play bigger and play better.

agree, David Lee would've put up Kevin's numbers on the Timberwolves. Kudos to Goldenstate for realizing it and not trading Thompson.

As a Heat fan, the evil part of me is enjoying this, because it's not us under media scrutiny anymore and we can just play basketball. But seriously, having just had a turn in the barrel, the Cavs really don't deserve this. The truth is Kevin Love is a very good player and Blatt knows it. The Cavs will discover their way through their problems. It just takes time.

I like Blatt. He doesn't sugar coat his comments. Probably why he's having issues with the ego driven players like Love and Lebron.

Kyrie also doesn't have that 20+ mil and the reporter mentioned both Love and Irving. If that's what he wanted to say, why wouldn't he say: "They both aren't max players yet." ?
