Done. Cleveland gets depth, some size (both the twins are bigger than Love) and a very efficient scorer off the bench in IT. The middle opens up for Len. Love is perfect to let Warren operate mid-range down the road. And we start working Ennis into the rotation, who I really want to keep.

The Cavs gave up two No 1 draft picks for Love. I doubt they will accept an offer of the last pick in the 2nd round and the Morris twins for Love. We'd have to give up the Lakers pick, probably a 2017 1st, Miles Plumlee as well. That's where the conversation would start.
But honestly, why even trade for him? I'd rather take my chances to get him at free agency this summer.

If Love was signed long term I'd agree. With how poorly of a season he's having (by his standards), and the risk they may lose him this summer, and the fact he could bolt Phoenix in 6 months, there's no chance his return value can be that high.

Thomas being the 60th pick is irrelevant. He's become a solid player.

That being said, I'd rather take a swing at him in free agency and if we miss, move on. I don't really want his personality on our team despite how well he would fit with us.

I'd love to get him but doubt he's available.

I honestly think Chris Bosh would be a better fit then Love. I know his contract is disgusting, but I'd be willing to take a gamble with the cap rising because of the new TV deal or whatever it is. Plus if we landed Bosh it wouldn't be a rental, so we wouldn't be taking a risk that he would just leave us.
Would IT/Tucker/Plumlee/Archie Suns 1st get it done?

IT, Tucker, Green, pick

IT, Morris, Morris, Green

I still think Bosh is a little old for this core.

I don't realistically see most of the names being thrown around (Cousins, Melo, Bosh etc.) coming to Phoenix, either by way of trade or Free Agent. With the Nuggets almost giving up on this season, even though it may not be a popular decision, I see something more along the lines of Wilson Chandler or potentially one of their bigs coming to us.

I also don't agree with getting rid of the Morri just because of their "attitude". After watching the last few games, there is only 1 person I think that we NEED to get rid of, and that's IT. I loved the signing when it was announced and I thought it would be a great addition to our team. After watching that Grizzlies game last night, he never passes the ball and tries to force up shots all day long. If he wasn't chucking up misses all the time, we could lessen the rebounds the other team gets by like 5-10 per game. That really bad play last night when he tried to bring the ball up past 1/2 court and got trapped and threw it away, that pretty much sealed the loss last night. As well as the 2 bad shots he took in the last couple minutes. I would much rather have Green taking the shots he does, rather than Have IT taking the even more ridiculous (IMO) shots that he does.

Only my 2nd post on here so be gentle please... haha

I rather have bosh than love. Kevin love will not resign. No matter what he says, don't trust it. I still think Suns should get Melo. We need a closer.

Suns out ($18.1m) - Morri ($6.2m) 'trash', Thomas ($7.2m) 'more trash', Green ($3.5m) 'even more trash', Plumlee ($1.2m) 'trash can' lesser of LAL/PHX pick the year LAL pick is conveyed 'trash', rights to Bogdan Bogdanovic 'potential'
Suns in ($18.3m) - Love ($15.7m) 'top 15 NBA player', Marion ($1.4m) 'bench/role', Wroten ($1.2m) 'good starter'

PHX cashes in on the disgruntled players on dysfunctional teams. Happy to burn one of the picks (likely our pick in 12-15 range) as we are struggling to develop the youth we have already.

Goran, Bledsoe/ Ennis
Bledsoe, Wroten
Tucker, Warren
Love, Marion
Len, Wright

So, let me get this straight, we trade away trash, and get back a top 15 player, a good starter, and a bench/role player. Sounds about right for this board. j/k, really.

IT and Kieff are really the only worthy assets in that deal, so I ask you this, would you trade Kevin Love for Kieff and IT? Because really, Marcus, Green, and Plumlee are not even desirable, IMO, and Bogdan is an unknown and a late teens pick isn't worth much.

You've all had a chance to see my 'gems' of trade scenarios, so I shouldn't be casting stones, but Cleveland is not going to trade Love away for that haul. It would require Len and one of EB/Dragic, and even then, the answer would probably still be no. Just because Blatt knocked Love down a peg or two, doesn't mean their GM is going to give Love away. And yes, I get that Philly gives them Noel in that trade, but then what does Philly get for their troubles, the Morri?

It's a great scenario for us, I'll give you that, but it's weighted heavily in our favor, and Philly and Cleveland would say no, IMO.

The biggest trade chips that should be on the block.

Everyone and anyone except for the following.
- Len
- Goodwin
- Ennis
- Warren

Reason? young enough, need to see what they can do with big minutes and very cheap.

SHAZAM!

Suns traded Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Jae Crowder and 4 1st round picks and a swap so some Vegas Bookies would like us.

Perfect response. People don't stop and think who we can get that are better than Dragic or Bledsoe. Well they do think of better players but then come up with absurdly stupid trade scenarios that either don't work under the NBA rules or the other teams fans would punch them in the face for even suggesting it.

Lol
You don't think I'm aware of that?

What did I just said on my previous posts...

there are only 2 teams that are likely to trade with the Suns (Nets and Knicks).

EVERYONE here in RealGM in particularly trade threads post IDEAS they WANT to happen. There are various trade machines out there that provides ENOUGH information whether the idea is within CBA rules.

You make it sound like everyone posts ideas like "Suns trade G.Green and Lakers pick for Cousins", or "Bledsoe and Dragic for Anthony Davis"... no... rarely that happens and if it does its done tongue on cheek.

Again, everyone is allowed to express their opinions here... EVERYONE.

I have to agree and disagree with you.

I agree that there are not that many "Suns trade G.Green and Lakers pick for Cousins", or "Bledsoe and Dragic for Anthony Davis" ideas posted. Yes there are a few, but no more than you would find on any teams board. For Christs sake, just look at all the BS trade ideas that we have been reading from the Rockets Forum!

You have to also remember that even the bad trade ideas spark conversation, and could lead to other ideas that arnt so bad, which no one had even thought of before. One bad idea can generate plenty of good ideas.

What i do disagree with is that the Knicks and Nets are our only trade options. We have options with any team regardless of where they are in the playoff race. Hell, Cleveland is a contender and just made a trade to bolster their bench (even though i believe it was a bad trade for them).

There are plenty of playoff teams that would rather have a usable veteran coming off the bench for them, rather than a youngster that will get little to no playing time. The Suns did that for YEARS! Dantoni was quoted as saying that he didnt have the time nor the patience to develop and would rather use that roster spot on a player that could produce right away if called upon.

We have also heard from other teams boards (like the Heat/Bucks/Bulls) who believe that we could be good trade partners.

I agree, but they're the ones wanting our goods. It seems when Ryan sees that, he takes advantage.
