I still wonder if Embiid is ever going to play for the Sixers... Would love to pair him with Randle for the future.

Otherwise Marc Gasol is obviously the best pairing for Randle, or Love for that matter.

That said, I think Love has gone from being over rated to under rated. I think if they both bought into it, they could play together, but they would still need a big C and work together seamlessly on D.

I thought about that too. I think if they're in position to take Okafor they may trade Embiid. As much upside that Embiid has, should the Lakers gamble and try to get him? Will his back be a long term problem?

Well... Love going to Opt in... I guess he's agreeing with Blatt.

Ed and Nick could have signed for more elsewhere, the rest of the guys were min besides hill, who is aruably outplaying his contract compared to other starting centers. For example horford is making 12 mil and blopez is makin 15 and they both average 14/6.5.
Also signing someone to the max in 2015 is going to look like a steal once the new CBA comes in with the huge TV deals.

If you want specific numbers, Hill is currently on pace to be worth 7.5 million or, 1.5 mil less than his contract while Horford is on pace to be worth 12.4 mil (.4 more).

Which site does these value calculations? Would be curious to check it out.

I do them myself, which is why I always caution u guys not to trust me, the random stranger on the internet  .

If you were wondering, just divide the number of win shares they're on pace to produce by 0.589. I forgot how I came up with that number, but it was something along the lines of number of wins available/total salary of all 30 teams.

I think Marc Gasol would be a great fit, but isn't he almost 30 years old? So within 2-4 years when our draft picks all develop and are rolling, he'll be 34 years old. LaMarcus Aldridge would be a great fit, but I just don't see him leaving Portland.

None of these top tier free agents are going to take less money to come to a roster with lesser players to play for the "history" of our franchise.

This CBA is not Lakers-friendly by any means, especially when we have a roster full of misfits who play to the tune of 15 games under .500.

Looks like a business move waiting for the new CBA, like LeBron's 2 year deal.
