Buyout Watch

Post#1 » by twix2500 » Wed Jan 14, 2015 3:48 pm

This is the time where information starts to leak to NBA GMs about possible players being bought out. And as I was thinking about this, Amare Stoudamire name is leaked as a possible buyout. I want to create this trend designated for players that will or may be release that Riley will look to use the DPE on. This very important, in that the Heat will use the information to help them decide if they will be able to trade a player like Birdman or Granger and can possibly replace that void with the with a bought out player.

That being said the names that so far have been leaked;

1. Amare Stoudemire
2. Tyson Prince
3. Jameer Nelson
4. Andrea Bargnani

Players that have been Bought Out;

1. Nate Robinson

*I will update the list as more information is leaked.

I'd take a chance on Jameer. At least he can pass.

Ugh...while he is a better ball distributor than anything we have right now, his defense was bad before and it has actually deteriorated further (if that's possible).

Amare has been good off the bench actually

He is a stiff on defense but better than **** Granger or whoever coming up as back up PF

He actually brings energy, rebounds and scores pretty well. That's his future too, a back up PF cause his career is mostly done as a starter

I don't want bargs, I'm scared with Spo's small ball tendencies he will play bosh and bargs like we are the raptors, AND it's really bad defensively

Not a great list to choose from... Maybe we can still trade Cole for somethin

I'd actually prefer Amare over any of the others on that list. That's saying something. HELL NO to Bargnani. Yuck.

With the emergence of Whiteside, we might as well try to make some noise in the playoffs this year. But for that to happen, we need a PG, a backup wing and a backup PF. One can argue that we might have a PG in Napier and I would agree. A case could be made for Ennis as a wing too, but I'm not sold on him yet. We need to trade for one out of wing/PF and probably get another from the list in OP (which hopefully grows because it's rather sad right now - sans Amar'e, but I don't think they let him go) or get somebody from China.

Any PG would be great!

Mario has had flashes of being a decent scoring guard but never as a PG! Cole has been terrible as a PG and Shabazz isn't ready to lead. We need someone like Nelson that can get his own shot but also create for others as a PG. This team is a PG away from being very good. Right we just rely on 1 on 1 and energy to score.

We need to trade for a PG, not go dumpster diving.

Pay for someone good instead of getting garbage for free.

It's funny how even at SG he racks up assists

He looks like a totally different guy at SG for some reason

Maybe he is so use to being a spot up guy at PG? At SG he be all like WADE OUT TIME TO PRETEND IM HIM

Are we still 3 pieces away man? :lol: But seriously, that's a lot of pieces to integrate in mid Jan. Spo's head might explode.
We all know that he's not very good at trying new things and renovating and innovating his own team. lol

We got this. We just need to trade for Afflalo, sign Sanders off waivers, and have TJ morph into the PG version of Whiteside. Done.

Sure, if you don't care about SPO's head explosion, go ahead. lol

I'd probably agree with Rex the Admiral here. If we can't trade for Knight or Dragic caliber PG (though both very unlikely...), not sure what's the point of upgrading our roster slightly with some washedup veterans.
But Afflalo and Sanders.. hmmm those are actually intriguing names if they can be attained at all.

Liking the idea of adding Amare (if possible for cheap) and using that to make Birdman expendable in a trade. Package some combo of Birdman, one of our PGs, and maybe our exception for the McBob injury

The better question is what's the harm in upgrading our roster and possibly shaking things up so long as it doesn't mess with 2016 plans. The higher our playoff seeding the better. Especially since we don't have our 1st round pick if we make the playoffs.
