No surprise there.

You'd think, with Jackson knowing he can go wherever he damn well pleases after this year, he'd at least play out the season focused and enjoying contending for a championship, whatever the role.

Being a malcontent on the last year before coming off your contract seems to be aimless.

When did Bledsoe demand out?

I can't wait to laugh at Tristian Thompson and Reggie Jackson at the beginning of the season when they still don't have deals.

He didn't and really Jackson hasn't either. What he IS doing is using the media to get him a big deal or an interested team.

This whole starting thing, bigger role, getting out, it's all just saying he wants a platform for getting paid. And OKC's not willing to pay him.

Why would OKC offer him max money?

Reggie will get a nice raise next year, but nowhere near max money from anyone. He has made it clear that he thinks he can be an all-star type player if only given the opportunity. He can't get that opportunity in OKC with high usage guys like KD and RW. He'll move on to a bad team and put up some nice numbers, but I don't see him ever reaching all-star levels.

The way he is playing since KD and Russ have come back is actually costing him money. He doesn't go to them rim as much as he used to and is shooting more 3's. He is basically doing more of the thing he is worst at and less of what he is efficient at. And don't even get me started on his defense.... :banghead:

Lakers should trade Clarkson or Lin for him.

If your OKC, it's better than losing him for nothing.

Yep, wish he would have taken it a bit more like another guard who wasn't offered the money he wanted last offseason and really focused his game on a contender.

You know, if the Bulls ever wanted a backup PG and decide Jimmy Buckets is outta there......

Also, Game6, I'm disappointed, this story is like 2 days old.

The mystery of Game6, economic sanctions vs Russia, declining bee populations... it all makes sense now.

No it isnt. Lin makes $15M in real cash this year--which is nothing for the Lakers with their TV deal but hurts the Thunder. Then there is the whole fact that Lin isn't a better player, plus he expires and OKC has the option to just let Jackson walk so they gain no flexiblity.

Its actually quite a bit worse than losing him for nothing.

Yea but if he's unhappy, does a title contender like OKC want an unhappy player bringing them down?

Like you said, Lin is expiring so money isn't an issue right?

If not Lin, then idk Davis? Hill? Clarkson? Johnson?

Well, they wouldn't of course. But from his perspective, doesn't this also imply he has to put on a show so another team may give him that money? Can't show your value as a backup unless you put ungodly efficiency stats like James Harden. Most players has to rely on counting stats, and that requires minutes.

Reggie has gotten plenty of minutes save for the Jazz game. I thinks Brooks is sending him a message: Play with effort and efficiency and you will get minutes. Otherwise Waiters/Morrow/Jones/Lamb will get those minutes and you have no chance to showcase your talents for free agency.
