9th loss at home in 21 home games. The roster is seriously flawed, once again our lack of speed athleticism kills us. Going into this last offseason we always had problems with athletic, quick teams. GarPax addressed this by bringing in Gasol, Mirotic, McDermott, Brooks, and resigning Hinrich. That not only did not address the problem it made it worse. Big mistakes, and Garpax is not the type to recognize and make changes. I can't believe I am saying this but last years team was more enjoyable for me to watch. Not as much offense, but at least that team played with heart. Give me a team with less talent that overachieves over a team with more talent that underachieves any day.

:noway: :noway: They haven't gone this long to not responding to him since he's been here. Especially with the lack of focus and hustle. Unfortunately isn't this around the time the "Scott Skiles" type of barking doggish type coaches start getting tuned out? I hope that's not taking affect. His whip may not have much sting anymore after 4+ years

Obviously, we see how much of the team was held together by Carlos. What deal gets him back here? Taj + 1st?

Derrick played superb defense on Wall and also was really good on offense.

We have a lot of trouble with the space that Nene occupies. We need to send him to the foul line more. He's a 65 % something FT shooter.

This was horrible game made to look better because of Rose's amazing shooting performance.

I thought Taj was great in place of Noah. I hope we see more of that.

It's not like their bigs outplayed our bigs.

Nene had 13 & Gortat 11 & Humphries 8.

Pau had 13, Niko 12, Taj 12.

Quick Hits:

* Thibs needs to move Niko to the 3 again. I'm not sure why that experiment ended, but it's hurting us. The two guys who were supposed to be our 3's this season are out....desperate times call for desperate measures.

* DRose completely abandoned going to the hoop in the 2nd half. Otherwise, he looked great tonight...the one positive of the evening.

* Gortat and Nene combine to make a great front court....they're extremely physical (dirty at times), tenacious, and sure as hell not scared of the Bulls. I mentioned it in the GT, but these are the times that the '80s and '90s era "enforcer" would make an appearance. Get Nazr out there for a few minutes to beat the **** out of them to try to get them out of their game. It will not only get in their heads but, atleast superficially, give the Bulls a mental lift.

* Jimmy needs to move back to the 2. Him settling for jumpers since moving back to the 3 leads me to believe he just doesn't have the confidence against larger defenders. This swings right back to my first bullet, playing Niko at the 3 again, which moves Jimmy back to the 2.

* Pau has stopped blocking shots, which was his only redeeming quality on defense. At this point, he truly brings nothing on that end of the court. I see it, but I really don't know what Thibs can do about it. The guy is important to our offense and is a team leader...you can't just bench him.

Our defense is just not good enough. That's all that matters right now. Our offense is more than good enough.

Saying the Wizards is a tough matchup is a copout. It pretends we are really so much better vs everyone else than them. No, we just flat out aren't any better than them right now. And they look a bit better than us tbh.

The team has been on the skids for a couple weeks now, it isn't just like Washington came in and gave us one upset in the midst of the Bulls playing well.

So what now? I'm done. I'm not going to give a damn about this team, if they aren't going to give a damn on the court. You can coast to an extent, but you need to understand and get up for games against the better teams.....especially the ones that like to celebrate on your own court and talk **** about you. I'm not sticking around to get see us fail over and over against the rest of these teams up on the docket. I'll check scores, but that's about it. It's sad, because I'm not fair-weather, and faithfully watched them even through the michael ruffin, e-rob, and khalid el amin days, but I just can't watch this mess anymore. They've got the talent, but something is wrong. I'll start caring again when they do.

Butler needs to WAKE THE **** UP

Come on. Let's get real here. Hawks will clown us. They actually run plays and know what to do. Very easy loss.

It's not even All-Star break and we're talking about playoff seeding as if the playoffs started tomorrow.

Unfortunately, Noah is the key to the defense. He's the anchor back there and I'm convinced his poor play is the largest reason to why our defense is struggling (and Rose's lack of desire to guard PGs). It sucks. The injury to Noah tonight really sucks because he's started moving much better lately and I felt like he was pretty close to snapping out of it. Hopefully he bounces back quick.

Noah also needs to start shooting that elbow jumper.

Quite frankly, they need to shut Noah down until after the All Star break. He is not healthy at all. Allow him to get as close to 100% as possible and have him healthy for the 2nd half of the season.

Those 3 games were all very close.

We've lost 2 games vs the Wizards and they weren't even close. I doubt our players believe they're better than the Wizards honestly.

I'm not seriously concerned but we've never lost 4-5 in the Thibs era in the regular season (playoffs, diff story). Wonder if something is going on with the team internally but I don't want to assume anything. Butler needs to play alot better and our defense is somehow getting worse. The biggest of the whole thing now is we've given Washington all the confidence in the world that they can beat us. Truthfully, the Truth was right, we haven't done anything. We just may HAVE to make a move by the deadline if this continues to linger much longer.

Nothing wrong a little adversity but I hope they get it together soon & become the team we saw in that 13 out of 15 win time period.

Oh and Rose is nice..

8-)
