Not really. For one thing, if you think the 2 waivers mean the players are equivalent, then umm... why did we need to give up another pick to swap?

But these guys being waived right now doesn't mean they're equivalent. It doesn't amount to a comparison of any kind.

Lets wait a few months, maybe even a year, and see whether one of them is still in the league. If that's what happens, and the guy is Rice, *then* CCJ (and I and a few others) may need to "eat some humble pie." If it's Wolters, the opposite -- in which case *more* humble pie will need to be eaten by those who supported a trade in which we gave up a player and a pick for a non-player.

But, hey, maybe they'll both be in the league -- always want to wish young players the best, so lets hope that's what happens!

Agreed. Maybe he gets a 5th year by waiting, but he won't get more per year IMO.

He could also want out before that ticking timebomb of a situation completely implodes.

Not sure what the point is of that Clippers-Suns-Celtics deal. Reggie Bullock hasn't been much good, though he does defend (and looked okay in YODA his draft year). Rivers has been terrible, but has improved to ALMOST replacement level this season. And Shavlik Randolph has been awful this year.

I guess Austin gets to play for his dad.
