Honestly as long as the Nets DONT throw in Jarrett Jack I think they make off like bandits in this trade. Jeremy Lamb and Perk for BLo = youthful cheap player, tough and nasty vet who will be very useful to guard the Andre Drummonds/Dwight Howards of the world all while giving away 1 of the most overpaid players in the league. If this trade goes down, I would seriously wonder if the Nets would consider signing Jordan Farmar off waivers. Is there any interest there? He would definitely help round out the roster

Would you elaborate on it a bit more? What do you see in Lamb and Jones that makes it worth it?
They seem like 2 end of bench scrubs in the making, when you take out 2-3 games Jones had earlier this season before again hurting his knees.

Two young players with potential to improve, both play positions of need.

FELON i don't know if its because they really DON'T want any salary on the books or its because what they have found out about Lance is so bad that they just don't want to do it.

If the case is the former, then that's on the Russians, who I for one can't wait til they the **** away from this team.

No man -- he's looking at the other deal that'll go down.

OKC - Lopez
BKN - Perk, Lamb, Jerrett

1 bad contract down.
Now the other deal --

CHA - Johnson, Mirza
BKN - Lance, MWill, Neal, Taylor, Maxiell

Another bad contract down. I can't see a taker for Dwill, maybe LAL if their THAT desperate? But I doubt it. Still, you'd guys would actually have decent cap room next year once KG, Perk, Neal, Taylor, Max, Jarrett are all gone.

Dwill, Jack, Lance, MWill, Lamb, Plumlee, Bogs, Karasev, Anderson on the books. Should like 12-14m in cap space.

So apparently the Nets want to get Perk just to flip him for Thad Young. if Billy King actually pull this deal off and gets Thad Young/ Lamb/ Jones for Brook Lopez does it redeem him in your eyes at all?

So Young and Lamb for Lopez, I guess its not that bad, but Stephenson and Young could've been much better, even if the cost was Jack.
I guess Lance is too problematic for some possible new owners to swallow, they want a clear salary dump.

Jack-Williams
Bogdanovic-Lamb
Johnson-Karasev
Young-Teletovic
Plumlee-Garnett

It's not bad.

I might stop watching basketball if this happens.

I guess we can always do a Jack/Mirza for Lance trade but this reeks of Proky just dumping salary and selling ASAP. Stern never should have let him in the NBAA if he was only commited for 5 years. This is going to set the franchise back for decades. No free agents are going to sign here in 2016. This is worst then the titanic. It's the Titanic set on fire as it sinks.

If we can get Thad and Lamb then I am OK with the trade. i would much rather get Perry Jones then Lamb but that is splitting hairs.

Lance should be the ultimate target though.

We can still get Lance though since the principals in the trade are Lance for Jack and Lamb. We might have to wait until DWIll gets healthy.

Not sure if Brooklyn will ever receive justification for trading the pick to Portland and possibly giving Atlanta a lottery pick this year. Those moves were asinine. Hindsight or not. Those types of mistakes are colossal in my eyes, and may be difficult to find redemption with what Brooklyn can get in return. If Brooklyn could find a player like Lillard via trade, I would say redemption is accurate, but that's not going to happen with any player BK can trade for at this point.

However, Thaddeus Young and Jermey Lamb would be an upgrade, still don't think its equal value in the type of player the Thunder would receive in Brooke (even if I don't like her).
OKC Thunder fan, too.

If King flips Brook for Lamb, Jones, and Young that's a coup.

I take Thad Young and Lamb for Lopez but they would be foolish not to go after Lance too.

UPDATE: OKC frontrunners to land Lopez for Perkins/Lamb; Nets in talks For Th...

As much as I like the idea of this move (it does show us looking towards the future). I still want us to go after Lance. This doesn't completely solve our issues and I just don't see why we won't bite on Lance... He's the kind of spark that could make this franchise into something different.

I hope we still have our sights on him.

Dwill/Lance/JJ/Young/Plumlee

Is not a bad lineup for next season if we don't move on from JJ or Dwill

Kinda disappointing to go to sleep thinking we were gonna end up with Lance to waking up to Jeremy Lamb. As awful as Lance was with Charlotte, I still see a guy that fits perfectly with our franchise. He can actually get to the rim, he's a playmaker and most importantly, he's a good defender. He's a dynamic, high ceiling guy that plays with energy. I don't see Lamb being all that different from Bojan at this point. OKC's needed him to take that 2 spot for a while now and he really couldn't do it over guys like Roberson, Morrow, Sefolosha, Fisher, etc.

Mirza should pack his bags if Thad Young is sent here.

Either way, getting even one young guy with potential for Brook Lopez is a good trade. Lance talk just got my expectations up.

Lamb and Young would be nice pieces I guess. This team will forever be mediocre.

This is what I dream this turns into.

Plumlee
Thad
JJ
Lance
Dwill - until he is moved at the deadline for Nash and Lin.

That is a dynamic and fun to watch lineup. Every player can guard their position.

Plumlee/Jordan
Thad/KG/Mirza?/Jefferson
JJ/Bojan/
Lance/Karasev/Brown
Dwill/Morris

If Billy can pull this off we get into the playoffs and save money while saving space for 2016.

Lamb sucks. Bring back Marshon Brooks he's better offensively.
