And looks like we're not pulling any triggers on the deals...
I went from crazy excited that after this b2b we'd have a fresh team to maybe get our hopes back...
But, nah, looks like we're content with sucking

That is a dynamic and fun to watch lineup. Every player can guard their position.
Plumlee/Jordan
Thad/KG/Mirza?/Jefferson
JJ/Bojan/
Lance/Karasev/Brown
Dwill/Morris
If Billy can pull this off we get into the playoffs and save money while saving space for 2016.
That can still happen. I don't get why BKN is balking at Lance now? Weren't they hoping to get him originally?
Make the trade as originally stated, get Perkins and flip him for Young. Then that team you posted can still happen.

WTF the Rockets? They don't need to make any moves to their team right now... maybe at PG but why Lopez when you have Howard lol.
Is this real like anymore?

A salary dump that's all I think it is. But some people here are so frustrated with Brook Lopez that they want him out at all costs and have convinced themselves that Lance Stephenson can thrive out in the world without being in the perfect niche playing with a superstar perimeter player and a non play making point guard that he had in Indiana. It seems many are content to be the second team to sign up for his fools gold. As I stated earlier I hope I'm wrong but it would seem 99 percent of the general managers out there are thinking the same way I am.
E, this has been my main concern with Lance.
People are sweeping away the facts with how damaging he has been to his teams.
The Pacers were ECF contenders until what seemed to be an inexplicable downfall. It wasn't until 2/3 of the season was done that we hear rumors about Lance causing trouble.
Then in the playoffs, it was basically confirmed that he and Hibbert got into a fight and that Lance was playing for his own stats.
He does childish antics against LBJ and Bird says don't do it again. The very next game he blows in LBJ's ear.
Despite the prospect of becoming worse and having another year of growth, the Pacers refuse to re-sign Stephenson for more than 2yrs and have no problems letting him go to Charlotte.
He gets to Charlotte and immediately his teammates complain about him. This was a team that was projected to improve over last season's surprisingly good campaign. Instead they regress horribly and Stephenson puts up terribly inefficient numbers.
Lance gets injured and the team immediately plays .600 ball.
So there's undeniable evidence that he's destroying team play and he's done it for two teams.
I watched him when we played against then earlier in the season. IMO he still doesn't know the playbook because he was just running around almost aimlessly.
Lance's "great" rebounding numbers aren't coming within the flow of successful team play.
He's getting his even at the expense of the team.
I find it quite ironic that people show how mediocre Brook is through stats but when it comes to Lance they talk about passion and emotion and not stats.
His FG% and 3pt% are terrible. I love players who attack the rim with abandon but it has to be done with within the system, not at its expense.
There's no denying that Lance has a lot of individual talent. But so does Lopez.
The only reason why I've wanted Lopez gone because I believe his individual talents don't contribute to team success as much as other player's at comparable salaries.
What evidence do we have that Lance improves team play? That's what I'm most concerned about. People are ignoring most stats and his bad personality for passion and talent. There are a lot of talented players out of the NBA just because of their attitude (e.g. Delonte West, Blatche).
You don't want to go into 2016 with a player on the roster that others actively want to avoid.
Let him mature on another team's dime and then if he becomes good, we can sign him.
Most players actively avoid going home because they know there are tons of friends and temptations that will distract them. And we want to bring Lance an already troubled player home?
I'm completely fine not experimenting with having Lance for the next 1.5 seasons.

Re: OKC frontrunners to land Lopez for Perkins/Lamb; Nets in talks For Thad Young (UPDATE: Page 15 - TRADE ON HOLD)
I am worried now that Lopez will go out to prove the Nets wrong and injure himself. The West is panicking because every team thinks they can make it to the finals so they want that extra piece. Lopez has value.
Rockets have some quality pieces but the salaries dont match. They may want someone on the team besides lopez.
I like the OKC deal if we get back Perry Jones/Thad Young then trade Lamb and Jack for Lance. I take my chances on Lance and his cheap contract. This team isnt winning anything so at least be fun to watch aggressive and competitive.

Amazing how King doesn't think twice about sending about the 6th overall pick for garbage players but when some players are available that can help us retool without picks he wants to drag his feet

I can't wait till new ownership comes in and cleans house. This is so unbelievably frustrating.
We've lost 7 straight games, we suck, change is needed, but we're standing pat.
What happens if Brook gets injured his little value goes to no value.
Now how do you expect him to play, to his raise, his value with the ax hanging over his neck ready to drop and ship him out of town?
The pieces don't fit, offers aren't going to improve. Take Lance, take Lamb and cap space, but standing pat with these mess of a roster makes no sense. Change is needed now

They are crap deals.
Look at who is being traded
Would you offer the farm for Brook Lopez? I damn sure wouldn't and no one is.
Now Lopez is stuck here knowing for real that he's not wanted. He's worthless to us now.
The Nets continue to embarrass themselves.

To me it's not even just the opportunity, it's the fact that you can't just progress this far on a player deal and then stop and say "No, we're actually just going to keep the player."
The damage has already been done. The relationship with Lopez is irreparable. If a deal doesn't go down, things only get worse as your longest tenured player has been dragged through the mud and yet you still expect him to play as if nothing happened.

Billy King in a nutshell.
He's got no problem doing the really bad trades in a second, but the ones that seem to have a chance to work for us are the ones he doesn't want to do.

This will backfire in King's face. WATCH.
Lopez will probably get injured, or the deals will become even worse. Either way, to keep him on this roster after pulling this **** is MORONIC.
I give up.
I don't care if Prok sells the team to a group that are a bunch of cheapskates, just get him and his band of morons the **** away from this team.

And who says these teams will even be interested in the future or even have a reason to make an offer? It's one thing to wait it out during the week but basically calling it off is just inexcusable.

I hope BKN is playing hardball to get CHA to add a draft pick.
This isn't all true. The Nets FO has never been enamored with Lance.
In fact, I feel like they have the same view as I have.
At first, you think "Why in the world would I want this trouble maker on my team?"
And then you sit there and think about all of the good things and start to envision him helping the team.
Then something happens and you realize that you've ignored all of the bad stuff and now you're back thinking to thinking "nope, don't want him."
I wouldn't pull the trigger on Lance alone. If we get 1st rd pick, that makes the potential 1.5 years of risk more palatable.

There's no way Brook wants out. He has zero problems playing for the Nets.
It's the Nets who are ambivalent about whether they want him.
