This is the same sh*t he did with Kirilenko. He shopped him around to Cleveland and LAC then pulled him to "stand pat" and had the nerve to let Kirilenko practice with the team until we ended up dumping him to Philly and we ended up overpaying to get rid of him. This is an alarming sign.

Just because OKC, Charlotte, Denver, Miami, LA and Houston are interested doesn't mean we should simply act like these teams are desperate to have him. They aren't.

This is spot on... if the team doesnt want lance i'm upset, i wont deny it... but i also cant blame them after blatche.

but Lamb/Young and possibly jones as well is an outstanding return for lopez.

We would be getting:

Thad Young: with just 1 year (player option) remaning. a 26 year old PF, filling a big need for us

Jeremy Lamb: 22 year old owed 1/3M after this season and is a SG who can shoot it from range, another big need

Jones: 23 year old owed 1/2M after this season a SF/PF who can hit from 3 and is a super athlete

all 3 fill major needs, have great contracts, are young and athletic and can shoot.

why are we not running to the commishes office to make this happen?

Jeremy Lamb and Perk for BLo = youthful cheap player, tough and nasty vet who will be very useful to guard the Andre Drummonds/Dwight Howards of the world all while giving away 1 of the most overpaid players in the league. If this trade goes down, I would seriously wonder if the Nets would consider signing Jordan Farmar off waivers. Is there any interest there? He would definitely help round out the roster

I hate it when anyone trys to sell Perkins as anything other than the scrub he is no matter how lunch pail he is.

perkins isnt even a player at this point, he is simply a contract.

Lamb and Jones are decent young players who would likely be better then what we currently get from mirza/bogs/karasev.

im not sure what we can realistically expect to get. we would be getting 1 or 2 players under 24 on rookie deals and a large expiring

thats fine, but holding on to a player having his worst season of his career, on a bad contract, who doesnt fit the coach is worse then making a trade were you dont get great value.

getting Lamb and possibly Jones in return for Lopez would have made up for the blown picks in the Celtics deal and the pick swap we're going to get **** ed in the ass with come draft time. Perkins' expiring would have been excellent in regards to getting bad salary off of our books.

Yet, here we are.

and you wanna know the irony? I just got an email asking me to purchase 2015-2016 season tickets. I should hit reply and tell them to go suck my **** ing dick :nonono:
I got that email too lol.

I'm like "Yeah, now is the perfect time to give this team thousands of my hard earned dollars."

April fools is still 2.5 months away.

I think E was particularly focusing on AD's comment that Perkins is a "tough nasty vet".

Perkins is simply a salary dump, not much more than that.

Perkins was a salary dump and we were probably going to try to flip him to Minnesota for Thad Young, a guy that could help.

Billy King strikes again!

So Brook Lopez apparently thought it was certain he was going to OKC.

Who's his agent? You can basically guarantee they're never dealing with us again.

Even though this is giving me heart burn, BK is playing this right. The NBA is a deadline league and it's still weeks away. Teams arent making us their best offers yet.

OKC is desperate to make a move since they fell into a deep hole to start the season. Looking at their upcoming schedule

vs GS
at Orl
at Mia
at Was (2nd game of a back to back)
at Atl (3rd game in 4 nights)
at Cle

By next Sunday they will be a lot more desperate. They would be lucky to go 3-3 this week and that's not going to gain ground in the West. We should be holding out for Reggie Jackson, Lamb and Perkins.

Flip Perkins for Thad.

Flip Jack and Mirza for Lance.

Resign Blatche.

Plumlee - Blatche - Jordan
Garnett - T Young - C Jefferson
Johnson - Bogs - Karasev
Lance - Lamb - M Brown
DWill - R Jackson - D Morris

This would be the best case scenerio IMO

Marc Stein is reporting there is teams are upset we backed out at the last minute.

These trade talks affect other players and teams too.

Billy is a f*** imbecile. He is single handedly making us look like a bush league organization.

King is under orders. This has ownerships hand print all over it. What do they care if players are upset they are selling?

Yormark wants to be able to keep the arena filled, Ownership wants to shed salary, King wants to put the best possible team on the floor.

I would love this and those 2 young players make up for draft picks lost. Send Dwill to LA at the deadline for Lin and Nash. Gives us money for a FA.

I hope BKN is playing hardball to get CHA to add a draft pick.

This isn't all true. The Nets FO has never been enamored with Lance.

In fact, I feel like they have the same view as I have.

At first, you think "Why in the world would I want this trouble maker on my team?"
And then you sit there and think about all of the good things and start to envision him helping the team.
Then something happens and you realize that you've ignored all of the bad stuff and now you're back thinking to thinking "nope, don't want him."

I wouldn't pull the trigger on Lance alone. If we get 1st rd pick, that makes the potential 1.5 years of risk more palatable.

Booyah! +100 and a cookie.
