I feel bad for Gary Sacks

Post#1 » by MartinToVaught » Thu Jan 15, 2015 11:32 pm

He stepped into a dysfunctional situation with Olshey reneging on his contract agreement and leaving in the dead of night. Then, he barely even got a chance as GM before being demoted in favor of one of the worst GM's in NBA history. He deserves a lot better than how he was treated by this franchise.

nope he wants to fire Doc for every position he holds. otherwise he wouldn't also have to hire so and so and hire so and so in his sig. Troy Weaver is an assistant GM for the Thunder and the second guy is some foreign head coach nobody cares about.
ehhhhh f it.

Was he a Vinny defender when Vinny was still the coach?

Nope. I never even wanted Vinny in the first place, and he proceeded to prove my gut feeling correct. I wanted Budenholzer last time we went coach-shopping and wasn't that thrilled about trading an unprotected first round pick for Doc, and it looks like I'm right again on both counts.

RE: Gary Sacks, yeah, I too feel bad for him. He was demoted to make room for Doc's minions in the power grab that happened while we didn't have an owner yet, and he's getting overruled by people that have a lot less basketball knowledge than him. I hope he finds a better job elsewhere in the summer.

Don't forget too Sacks himself was a minion of Elgin Baylor, but nonetheless I was surprised that he was willing to accept a demotion, where he perhaps could have found a GM opportunity elsewhere.

The man was a scout in the Baylor times, and he's survived 4 different front office changes since then. The other dudes are the ones supposed to be telling Doc that he should trade Bullock and eat Farmar's dead salary for the privilige of paying 2 and a half million dollars to his son.
