Man Houston is just blowing this game. Neither Lin nor Harden can do anything. The offense is terrible.

Well if the conscious manipulation is true (and I'm about 60% that it is at this point), then the NBA is in position to possibly assist the Lakers to a game 6 or 7 against the Spurs (who have played like **** lately) and maybe even into the second round. I hate the NBA right now and I'm hoping that Stern retirng might help the integrity in some way.

Stern will still run the show, he'll just Silver be the figurehead. Stern is hoping that his retiring with calm the ones with their eyes open to his manipulation of the league, and that may just work.

As much as we are pissed off about this blatant rigging of games, let us remember that we may have benefited from the rigging in 1993 during game 7 of the Western Conference finals. The league really wanted a Jordan/Barkley finals and we had a HUGE free throw advantage in the last game against Seattle.

Why did the league go away from the pin-pong ball draw live, with the logos on the balls? That's how they did it initially and very difficult to see how it could be fixed.

Please, no "so it could be rigged' answers.

Yea, its bittersweet. Couldn't really pull for the Spurs, but it was nice to see the Lakers get their asses kicked out of the playoffs via the sweep. Think they were just satisfied to make the playoffs, bad luck for us as we could've really used that second lotto pick.

Just have to hope we hit a home run with the #30 pick instead.

Stern sure is not very good at hiding his Lakers love and bias. First, the blatant rigging during some key games at the end of the season to get them into the playoffs. And now today during the Miami game, he was interviewed by a reporter and she asked him something about "the impact of all the injuries to key players this season" or something along those lines........and the Only injury that Stern would talk about was Kobe and how bad it was for the Lakers. No Rose, No Rondo, No Westbrook........just his little moneymaker, Kobe. Unbelievable, as if the Lakers even had a shot with Kobe? Ya right. OKC and Chicago had a legitimate chance that got destroyed due to their key injuries, but the only thing this man could talk about was Kobe and the Lakers? :lol:

Eat sh*t Stern, cannot Wait for you to get your pitiful, crooked rear out of our sport. You have made the NBA on par with the WWE, so you can choke on a fat one!

This just confirms that we won't get that LAL pick barring a miracle. If the Lakers aren't in the bottom 5 within a month or so, expect LAL to pull the trigger on Kobe.

So that time of the year again. We are currently sitting as the 4th worst record. I don't think we can do worst than that. Tonight is an important game against the Jazz who are also tanking and right next to us. Kobe has been sitting back to backs so theres that.

The Lakers might be better without Kobe. Shutting him down might mean more victories. Didn't they win a bunch of games without him earlier this year?

As long as ALL current West teams DON'T lose any fire power and the 9th, 10th seeds dont regress... Lakers are likely to be a non-playoff team for atleast until a year or two post-Bryant retirement.

Next off-season, I don't see them getting enough talent to climb to 8th spot... the competition above them is just that good.

I have to admit, us Suns fans have to thank Howard, Gasol and of course Nash for the contribution they have done to give the Suns assets. Howard ditching them was completely unexpected by them, thats why they offered those picks for Nash. They assumed Howard, Kobe, Gasol, Nash would last until 2017-2018... well $hit happens, even to the damn Lakers.

Yeah Lakers without Kobe, atleast Lin, Boozer, Davis, Young step it up a level... so they actually become more unpredictable to play against. As opposed to when Kobe is there, basically the defense just have to let Kobe control the ball and make him pass to the player they want to shoot or let Kobe shoot them out of the game... easier to predict in a lot of plays.
