The same reason they compare every white guy to another white guy when scouting. They look alike. That's it. Schroder was a 2 guard most of the time in Germany, has a close to 1-1 assist to turnover rate, is a slashing scorer with a developing jumper. Rondo is not as quick, has next to no slashing game(his drives are more Andre Miller than, say, John Wall), has no jumper and has always been a elite passer.

There games are literally nothing alike. Their bodies are alike...that's it. Analyst are just being lazy.

Again, playmaking and assist to turnover tends to stay true with increased minutes. His numbers are bad because he is simply a bad playmaker with bad vision. I am happy he found his scoring niche though. But he is still more Barbosa than Rondo.
