Noah to Suns
Huge Noah fan here, but him and Gasol does not work. Noah needs to play center and Taj needs to start with Gasol.
Len and Tucker to Chic
Noah and McDougie to Suns
Doug McD would have to go in a separate deal, not sure if Suns have an exemption
Noah would be awesome in Phoenix, and their staff could help him. They would have Plumlee and Wright behind him, so he wouldn't wear down. Losing Tucker hurts, as does Losing Len's potential, but addition of McD helps them-his shooting would be great long term. Helps the Suns make the playoffs-Noah's leadership would be welcome.
Bulls hate to give up Noah, but he does not work at the 4, and Gasol is set for a few years. They can bring Len along slowly-long term he and Mirotic work well. Bulls love McD, but Tucker adds the corner 3 and D they need. Imagine Tucker and Butler on the wings-Dunleavy is better off the bench, and they still have Kirk and Snell, plus Moore looks ok. They keep trying to win now, but are even more set for the future and don't have to extend Noah.
Rose/Brooks/Kirk/Moore
JB/Dunleavy/Kirk/Snell/Moore
Tucker/Dunleavy/Snell/Mirotic
Taj/Mirotic
Gasol/Len
That team wins the East, and looks better for the future

That seems like very poor value for Chicago.

Re: Noah to Suns
value is insanely good for Phoenix and Noah is still young enough too. Phoenix couldn't say yes fast enough even without Dougie Buckets. With him its a slam dunk.
Don't like it at all for Chicago. They are a win now team and Noah has been the heart and soul of that team for years. You'd be better off just sitting him and letting him get healthier to have him when it matters in the spring.
If you want a veteran wing, Doug could get you that without having to make the Noah/Len swap.

Re: Noah to Suns
Contrary to the posts so far, Suns pass.
Len is a very very promising young (Only 21) shot blocking in the paint big, who is now finally showing his true potential after missing a season due to surgery and finally overtaking Plumlee in the starting Line-up. His ceiling is way higher than Noah has even come close to. Suns fans love him, Coach loves him, FO loves him, no way do we trade him for a lesser player (what Noah is right now) that is 8 years his elder and getting paid $10M more.
We (The Suns) also value Tucker pretty damn high. He is an excellent defender and defends anyone from SG's to PF's. All around hustle guy that can hit the 3 ball. He is the guy we use to defend the other teams best player, and he does a great job at it. We also just re-signed him on an excellent contract to boot.
Word is that Bledsoe/Tucker/Wright/Len are our keepers with whom the FO is going to be building around. All other players are on the block (Rookies Ennis/Warren included for the right deal).
Suns say no, respectfully.

I feel like some of you think Noah is still what he was last year. He hasn't really been good this year. He had a serious knee operation over the summer and looks like a shell of his former self.

Yeah, no. If Noah and Gasol don't work, Gasol is the one going out.

Re: Noah to Suns
Suns say no to this very quick indeed.
Len has looked like a future Noah minus the passing. But higher ceiling due to his offense potential.

Suns say no. I love Noah but Len has been showing a ton of promise for the Suns. Plus Tucker is one of the veteran leaders and one of the very few guys on this team who isn't soft.
I'd still love to get Noah cause I think Noah-Len front court could work and Len could learn a lot from Noah. But as of right now for PHX, Len is almost untouchable simply because of his youth, potential and promise he's shown.
You could make the argument that Len has outplayed Noah this season since Hornacek finally benched Plumlee.

Re: Noah to Suns
Suns are starting to get a little tight on the Cap. With extensions kicking in for the Morris twins and Bledsoe, and a possible extension coming for Dragic, that is a lot of money in the next year. That is really the only reason I could see them passing on adding Noah. Beyond that, he would be a great fit for them. Much like the Bulls, they wouldn't need to ask him to score at all. He could focus on defense, rebounding, passing, and doing the typical Noah things.
The only way I could see the Bulls doing this is if they wanted to save some money next year. They don't necessarily need Tucker.
And the Suns do not have any exceptions, but they can accomplish this by throwing another one of their lesser contracts to Chicago.

No it means the Suns fans have some attachment to their players. This will be overwhelming viewed as a steal for the Suns by the board as a whole.

WUT?
But seriously, Noah is a guy who was defensive player of the year and All Nba 1st team, just last year. If you're calling Len's ceiling as "way higher than Noah has even come close to", that's quite possibly to be the best big man, EVER, to play the game. Like, Hakeem Olajuwan, at minimum. This just seems...excessive.

That is because most posters on this board have no clue how well Len has been playing. There was a reason why he was a top 5 pick in the draft and he looks like he can be just as good as a prime Andrew Bogut. Noah on the other hand is about to turn 30 and has not looked good this season. I think he will eventually get back to his old self but the age gap and the fact that Len is playing so well makes this trade idea a non starter for the suns.

Wait, Len is BETTER than Noah? I gotta watch more Suns game. That is a massive statement.

This place is insufferable.

Re: Noah to Suns
There are so many problems with this trade suggestion beside claiming Len is better than Noah (obviously not the case right now)
1) Why would the Suns trade for a 30 year old C who has one and a half seasons remaining on his contract? We have Len wrapped up for six to seven more years (2 more years on rookie contract) and 4-5 RFA extension. Noah could simply leave the Suns after 2016.
2) We know Suns are not contenders right now. We are in year two of our rebuild. Why would we even consider getting an older piece of puzzle? In five years will Noah even been playing? Would he even be playing with the Suns?
3) Noah's skill level is set. It's not going to change and will only decline over time. The best comparison is Alex Len in season two (age 21) versus Noah in his second season (age 23). Per 36 minutes Len is clearly better in almost all categories other than assists and recently Len has shown he can make the assist out of the high post. He has significant room for improvement here. Here is the basketball-reference player comparison. http://www.basketball-reference.com/pla ... 4=&p5=&p6=
4) Len is basically a rookie. He was injured most of last season. His ceiling is huge.
5) Len is a top 5 shot blocker in the league ... number 5 in terms of blocks per 48 minutes. Noah is number 26. This number will get worse for Noah as he ages and better for Len as he matures. Len is taller and longer than Noah. He alters many, many more shots in the game than he blocks.
6) Currently, the Suns don't need as much scoring or assists from Len that is provided by Noah. The Suns have plenty of scorers and PGs on the team. We're happy to watch Len grow into this role.
7) In 45 years the Suns have never had this type of defensive potential at the center position. Alex Len needs to be a Suns player for the next 15 years.
8) No need to discuss Tucker versus McDougie.

Re: Noah to Suns
I will say this trade is much better than some ESPN writer suggested
http://arizonasports.com/41/1799479/ESP ... Kevin-Love
There would be a run on nooses in Phoenix if that ever happened
