Re: PG: what in the serious ****?
Hawks are for real.
Expected the L all along. Bulls aren't very good right now and it's probably not going to get better any time soon with Cleveland, San Antonio, and Dallas this week.

Re: PG: what in the serious ****?
No reason to get upset, the Hawks are simply a much better team than the Bulls right now.
It's going to be hard to catch up too. We are not going to get back to an elite defense starting Gasol at center, its a hopeless wish. He's too immobile and easy to exploit, both with PnR and simple ball movement.
And if we want to contend with teams like ATL offensively, we'll probably have to make a move. Playing Aaron Brooks in these small lineups to try and spice up the offense just hurts the defense even more. But its obviously Thibs desperation go-to with this imbalanced roster. To throw him out there with Rose, or even in a 3 guard set with Hinrich the last 2 games.
Unfortunately we aren't the Suns, with Dragic and Bledsoe, it just doesn't raise the talent level to do this. Go get a real multi-skill wing then you will see real potential. With more offense at the 2/3 we could also start Noah and Gibson and recapture our missing defense.
Half the year is over and the obvious roster imbalances coming into the season have come to fruition. Especially with Doug not helping, Thibs is searching aimlessly for square pegs to fit into round holes and he's found no good answers so far.

Re: PG: what in the serious ****?
why is Tony not playing?
No Tony at the 3. No Niko at the 3. Moore/Kirk/Brooks is NOT an ok 3 guard lineup when ATL has a combo guard at the 1 and 2 SFs on the wings

Paying 8.000.000$ to a guy who drops 7-6 (9 after those useless fts) in 41 minutes and no defense is awful

Is it wrong that this was an enjoyable game to watch despite the loss? Im not mad at all. ATL is the real deal. I still think we can beat them in a series, we just haven't figured them out (no one has)

Re: PG: what in the serious ****?
Man you guys are going through exactly what Toronto is right now.
Started out the season on fire, injuries hit, fatigue hit, slump hit and now you guys are struggling.
Defense has fallen off severely for both teams. Worst defense in Casey/Thibs era.
I just saw Taj Gibson's comments about team feeling too good about itself and that's exactly what James Johnson said about the Raptors last night.
You guys and the Raps will be fine. It's just a tough stretch. Better to have it now then later.

At least the game was "close". With everybody healthy, I think we have a chance

Meh. The Hawks are just hot right now, they'll come back down to earth sooner or later, which would be the 2-3 seed. We showed life tonight, though after another bad start.
This is the type of loss that puts motivation into Derrick Rose and the Chicago Bulls. It might anyway, if it doesn't, then we're gonna need to get completely dominated by an eastern contender for our team to wake the **** up. Hopefully this loss does the trick though, we're due to take over the east.

Re: PG: what in the serious ****?
im def not a panic mode person at all. but i see some major issues.
thibs rotations
pau's D
Taj STOP COMPLAINING TO THE REFS
We just arent even trying Snell or Niko at the 3 anymore?
Jimmy needs to play the 2 to flourish
Pau and Noah dont work together
we need to run an offense like the Hawks. We have the team for it. Talent wise we are the Hawks on HGH. We have bigs that can shoot (not so much Noah all the time) and could use that kinda ball movement for open jumpers esp with McD and MDJ coming back

If Noah can be rejuvenated healthy the Bulls are going to go on a run with him, Dunleavy, and McDermott back.
I'm pumped about Derrick. Need to get Jimmy healthy too, he looks slow right now.

What?
One of the brainwashed that thinks Taj needs to go and could actually be traded (he wont). He's far from the biggest Bulls problems.

I'd love to add another stud wing but I think the point you are making is the exact reason why Dunleavy is a huge part of what we do.
We were just on a tear when Dunleavy before Dunleavy went down.

Cowley says that's not happening any time soon. The positive is that it's not getting any worse either. At this point it all depends on how Noah can handle the pain going forward.

Re: PG: what in the serious ****?
If they were more careful with the ball, the game would've been theirs. Those four extra turnovers were literally the difference in the game. The Hawks had four more FGAs, three more FGs, two more 3FGs, and one more FTA but the same FTs. And those differences were eight points.
This was arguably the Bulls' hardest playing game since that Rockets game. It's not really a loss I'm too worried about. They're well on their way to rediscovering that blue collar Bulls grit that made them wear down all their opponents. With a team missing Mike and Doug, their two best spot-up shooters, this is the type of game they need to keep playing. The Bulls are at their best when they appear to be outplayed but are still ahead on the scoreboard; that's both physically and mentally draining for their opponents. They don't have the athletes to outrun their opponents, but they have so much more skill all around the roster this season than seasons prior that playing a grinding pace should still net them a highly efficient offense.
The Hawks needed this win more than the Bulls did. The Bulls just need to keep getting back to that grinding offense that has given them so much success in the past. By doing that, their defense should also improve.

Re: PG: what in the serious ****?
Well, we're not good enough to beat Atlanta right now, that's for sure. Hopefully we'll be good enough in a few months. Derrick was great again, 3 games in a row, 23/10/8. 10 assists, 3 turnovers. I'm eager to see Atlanta in the playoffs now, I hope they have a healthy playoff run. They're fun to watch. Much respect to them. Thibs has a lot of work to do, we can still get there though.
Jerry Reinsdorf; the undisputed king of allowing his GM's to run amok with unchecked power and ego.

I thought everyone here pretty much views Cowley as a hack with no sources.
As much as I hate Friedell and have a total boredom of Kc Johnson aren't they the only two with any inside info?
