Trade Targets

I wonder what the Kings would want for Ray McCallum? I'd trade a 2nd Rounder for him, not sure if they would do it?

PROPOSED TOP 8 AFTER DEADLINE / NEXT YEAR

I acknowledge that Knight is part of the FO’s core and isn’t going anywhere. OK they do like him for reasons that sound good – he works hard and has a great attitude. I give the FO the benefit of doubt as it is their 1st big decision. Kidd signing his buddy Martin is not of any major note. Deciding to commit 4yrs and 40 to 52 mil is! Until they prove wrong I’ll trust the FO makes the right call when it counts. I willing to believe Knight will excel as a SG. Knight is capable of being a #2 scorer behind Parker. His success is linked to who mans PG.

We need a PG. Go out and get Holiday. Lawson would be nice but I don’t think Denver lets him go for anything we have to offer. Teague or Schroeder is a pipe dream. Suns won’t do it until off season. Pelicans are not happening this year and with Gordon jamming up finances and with both their C free agents, New Orleans has to weigh where they are. Davis is still young. Holiday is not great but he's better than average and better than Knight at PG and I think Holiday could be extracted with a 1st draft choice and a possible short term replacement like Bayless and filler.
Holiday – TS%519 - PER18 – FG%444 – 3P%367 – FT%851 – MPG34 – APG7.1 – PPG15.2

We need a C. I acknowledge Sanders has replaced Ersan as our most untradeable player. Heck next to larry, ersan is every buyers dream. Its been stated by some Kidd likes Zaza’s style of play. I think Kidd would also like Meyers Leonard especially with Zaza as both a valuable mentor and as a still very effective backup for 2+ years. Leonard also offers height and girth. Portland has an excess number of bigs and would probably be interested in Middleton’s shooting and versatility and a 2nd.
Leonard = TS%656 – PER17 – FG%521 - 3P%469 – FT%875 - 14MPG - RPG4.4 – PPG5.8

Plus Leonard also has the right skill set to complement Henson’s strength. With Leonard able to knock down threes – Henson has plenty of room inside to do his exceptional P&R thing. Henson can thrive as PF with Leonard and Zaza at C. He’ll be a great backup for both Giannis and Parker and small ball C at times.

We need a backup G. With Knight being able to slide to PG our backup G does not need to. He can be a pure SG. I’m with everyone that says roll the dice on Stauskas to get it together in a new location maybe next year. His shooting ability would be ideal. There’s been talk of Ersan and Memphis 1st for Stauskas and Williams. OR if you could get Leonard for the Memphis 1st you could do Ersan & Middleton for Stauskas & Williams.

AFTER DEADLINE
Henson - Giannis - Knight - Holiday - Leonard --- Stauskas - Zaza - Dudley
NEXT YEAR
Parker - Giannis - Knight - Holiday - Leonard --- Henson - Stauskas - Zaza

Yeah, Clippers aren't involved. I corrected that within a couple minutes. I was sent "LAC" but it was supposed to be "SAC"

I still think the ruse is on and Knight is on the block.

:dontknow:

Gonna be a bummer if he's on the move and the Bucks don't land him. In a logical world we'd be his ideal spot.

Is that praying or high fives? Either way seems unlikely to be a Bucks related celebration unless he really hates being a King.

I feel dumb even having a conversation and I'm regretting this as I type it but it's the prayer emoji. This is his first DNP-CD as far as I can tell. Between the trade rumor and the twitter stuff I think he's on the move.

I don't know how much he hates being a King, but would it really surprise anyone if he'd rather be in a different situation?

My guess is he ends up going to Denver, and Afflalo is coming here. And that'd be a huge bummer.

Afflalo's last season was pretty much the same as Salmons' FTD run IIRC. The usual suspects would have the biggest boners over that move. :D

If we only gave up Ersan for Afflalo, I would be fine with it.

Not the type of trade we should be making, but would be good value.

Like someone else has said, if we could get Lawson AND Stauskas (highly unlikely, I know) I would probably cry.

It would depend on who we were giving up to acquire each player. From just the two players, I honestly could care less as I feel both players would really help us now and for the future.

The one that gets traded for Knight. Didn't you start a thread that got locked with a bunch of Knight stuff? If so you've now got your thread to post it in. (not this one) :)

LOL I know I just went on twitter to look at her tweets. I was contemplating asking her why she tweeted she was praying but I didn't want to come off as a creep. Maybe she prays before bed.

But on a side note she is hot af :D

Get rid of Knight and I'm going to be happy.

Add Stauskas and I'll be pleased.

Add Lawson and Afflalo at the expense of guys like Middleton, Henson and our picks and I'm going to be bummed. In terms of value it's great; Lawson is a very good player. But our two young cornerstones won't even be starting their primes by the time Lawson's contract is up and he's on the wrong side of 30. It's just a really bad fit.
