I remember at the first of the year, Lance was beating Al to the ball and getting rebounds. This made Al mad and you cold tell it did, and people commented on it and blasted Lance for it. Lance was being aggressive, battling, and hustling to get the ball for his team, not his fault Al was being lazy and waiting on the ball. Go get the ball and stop pouting, it's called lazy and selfish.
There was also a rumor Lance complained to Cliff he deserves the same amount of touches as Al gets and then complained to teammates (Pargo) that Cliff is not a real coach.
There is no doubt in my mind the biggest rift on the team is between Lance and Big Al. Al is very non-confrontational so the clash is not a complete disaster. Biz stepping up translates more to Cliff making changes than does Lance's complaints or fan angst over Alffense and no defense and Al's selfish play.
I think that is the rift also. Big Al got jealous of Lance out hustling him for rebounds which made him look bad. People listen to Al, and Lance got in defense mode. He felt everybody was against him and got defensive.
Could be, would love to see Lance's response if the front office switched gears and dealt Al instead of Lance in that Lamb + Jack trade. We know the 1st unit is better with Biz. And we know the 2nd unit is better with Lance. It's easy arithmetic. Maybe Lance would evolve as a player and teammate.
