Senior Bowl

Post#1 » by CrimsonCrew » Tue Jan 20, 2015 7:34 pm

Aspirational thread. I'm hoping that Chris will get off his lazy ass and actually keep us informed about the week of Senior Bowl practices this year. His failure to do so last year was one of the personal tragedies of the offseason for me....

And if anyone else wants to post updates, feel free. Draft feels a little more important this year than it has in the very recent past.

T.J. Clemmings will solidify himself as a top-5 pick this week, me thinks. He's already measured in extremely well.

Tony Pauline @TonyPauline · 29m 29 minutes ago
Henry Anderson/Stanford picking up where David Parry left off last week and dominating in drills.

Tony Pauline ‏@TonyPauline
Ty Montgomery/Stanford dropping more passes than he's caught.

Tony Pauline @TonyPauline · 56m 56 minutes ago
Danny Shelton/Washington and Carl Davis/Iowa destroying the competition in 1 on 1.

Tony Pauline @TonyPauline · 1h 1 hour ago
Ameer Abdullah/RB/Nebraska is fast even going half speed. Impressive burst in person.

Tony Pauline @TonyPauline · 1h 1 hour ago
Zach Hodges/Harvard looks really good in LB drills while Hau'oli Kikaha/Washington is really struggling.

Tony Pauline @TonyPauline · 2h 2 hours ago
Like Bryce Petty's attention to detail. Natural looking off DB and does it on every pass during drills.

Dane Brugler @dpbrugler · 6h 6 hours ago
DE/LB Kikaha 6024 246 with a build that looks near maxed

Dane Brugler @dpbrugler · 5h 5 hours ago
LB Jeff Luc 5116 263 compact with more muscles than you'll ever have

Dane Brugler @dpbrugler · 5h 5 hours ago
CB Steven Nelson 5100 199. Some scouts were worried about his size on tape so hitting the 5-10 mark was important for him

Dane Brugler @dpbrugler · 5h 5 hours ago
Miami Ohio CB Quinten Rollins 5110 193. Well put together

Dane Brugler @dpbrugler · 5h 5 hours ago
DT Danny Shelton 6016 343 - Drew some "woahs" with his size.

Dane Brugler @dpbrugler · 5h 5 hours ago
RB Tyler Varga 5102 227. Won the North workouts with his cut physique. Shredded

Dane Brugler @dpbrugler · 5h 5 hours ago
WR Sammie Coates 6016 213. Cut upper body with longer arms than most linemen here (33 1/2")

Dane Brugler @dpbrugler · 5h 5 hours ago
DE Trey Flowers 6022 268 with one of the largest wingspans here (84 1/8")

Dane Brugler @dpbrugler · 5h 5 hours ago
DE Markus Golden 6022 255 with shorter arms (31"). I bet we'll see him at LB some this week

Dane Brugler @dpbrugler · 5h 5 hours ago
RB David Johnson 6006 224. Looks like a LB with good hand size (9 5/8")

Dane Brugler @dpbrugler · 5h 5 hours ago
OG Arie Kouandjio 6047 318. Long arms (34 3/4") and wingspan (84 1/2")

Dane Brugler @dpbrugler · 5h 5 hours ago
WR Tyler Lockett 5095 181. Smaller hands (8 3/8") as expected

DT Joey Mbu 6026 315. Massive lower body with long arms (34 1/2")

Dane Brugler @dpbrugler · 5h 5 hours ago
DE Owa Odighizuwa 6034 266. Looks like he would win bodybuilder competitions. Cut physique

Dane Brugler @dpbrugler · 4h 4 hours ago
LB Lynden Trail 6062 262. Longest arms on south squad (34 7/8")

ane Brugler @dpbrugler · 2h 2 hours ago
Duke WR Jamison Crowder is a Brandin Cooks Light out here. Explosive breaks with natural adjustments on the ball. Like him more and more

Dane Brugler @dpbrugler · 1h 1 hour ago
As expected, CB Steven Nelson has been impressive. Patient but competitive. If I can steal him in the 3rd, Id consider my draft a success

Dane Brugler @dpbrugler · 58m 58 minutes ago
So far we've seen undraftable QB Sean Mannion in practice. Just like most of his 2014 game film... #SeniorBowl

Dane Brugler ‏@dpbrugler 20m20 minutes ago
CB D'Joun Smith winning the "most physical" award for the South practice. A lot to like with this player

Tony Pauline ‏@TonyPauline 30m30 minutes ago Fairhope, AL
Tyler Lockett/WR/K-State looking real good. Beating defenders deep and also snatching underneath passes.

Tony Pauline ‏@TonyPauline 40m40 minutes ago Fairhope, AL
Impressed with Phillip Dorsett/WR/Miami. Quick, fact and battles.

Tony Pauline ‏@TonyPauline 41m41 minutes ago Fairhope, AL
Garrett Grayson/QB/Colorado State throws the ball with terrific velocity and pop. Ball to receivers as they're out of breaks.

Tony Pauline ‏@TonyPauline 1h1 hour ago Fairhope, AL
Can confirm Cam Erving/OL/Florida State not in attendance at Senior Bowl due to elbow injury. Much more later.

Tony Pauline ‏@TonyPauline 1h1 hour ago Fairhope, AL
Nick Marshall/Auburn looking solid in early going. Fluid feet, quick hips and nice burst out of his plant. Does not look lost.

For those who don't know, Nick Marshall made the switch to CB.

Wait what??? QBs are supposed to look off DBs? :-? How long has this been going on?

...I like Petty. If either he or Mannion isn't a 49er next year I'm gonna go take Baalke's mom out for a nice steak dinner and never call her again.

After this past weekend, I was starting to think they are supposed to just throw he ball up without looking at anything whatsoever.

Some practice reports from a variety of sources:

http://www.sbnation.com/nfl-mock-draft/ ... ay-for-qbs

http://walterfootball.com/seniorbowl2015practice2.php

http://walterfootball.com/seniorbowl2015practice.php

http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2336 ... om-day-one

http://www.nj.com/eagles/index.ssf/2015 ... rom_d.html

I'm having some trouble finding updates on several of the sites that have typically covered the event in detail. If anyone else has reports to add in, please do so.
