It'll be even more disappointing when they lose to PHX in the first round.

It would seem the Warriors can't beat anyone if you read this thread.

Is there still enough time to tank out of the playoffs?

Disappointing for sure. Right now the Warriors are playing the best ball in the league and they'd be favoured in any series. It's also the reason why I don't care if the Thunder are the 8th seed.

Not even close. Unless it was some epic collapse like Brazil in the world cup. Everyone knows OKC is one of a handful of legit contenders.

If I was a mavs fan that would be the matchup I want for revenge, but I don't think their fans have the balls and enough confidence in their team to beat gs as an 8th seed.

The irony would be hilarious if Dallas fell to the 8th seed

Not that dissappointing. People fail to realize we sucked donkey nutz for HALF A DECADE 17 year playoff drought. Year after year of miserable basketball. This is ONLY year THREE we have been relevant. Its all a learning curve.

Anyone saying otherwise is stupid Dallas got upset by GState in 08 came back and won it the following year. Experience and time along with patience is the key to success.

OkC hsnt won in what how many years now? Aslong as KD is there they will always be in it regardless if they are the 8th or 1st seed. If Dubs lose its a learning curve, still a young roster with players like Curry Klay Dray HB only getting better.

It's funny seeing OKC fans desperate for relevance. Seriously though, I don't think it would be much of an upset; the Warriors know who OKC is, they won't take them lightly. And frankly, I think they match up pretty well with them, if Bogut and Iguodala are playing of course (which they weren't in the last game).

Harrison Barnes did a bad job defending Durant, but Iguodala could do better on him and having Bogut in the game allows Green to cover him more as well, if he's not stuck in the low post. Also Bogut will make it a lot harder for Westbrook to walk to the rim and Ibaka will not dominate the paint as he did last game.

How Disappointing Will The Season Be For GS If OKC Eliminates Them In The 1st...

They will be a very dangerous opponent to whatever high-seeded team they face in the first round. I'd say the odds of an upset are pretty damn high. In fact I'll go on record and say they'll probably do it, no matter who they face.

Is that an upset then?

Huh? One OKC fan has posted, and he wasn't confident. I just want into the playoffs, GSW is crazy good.

I remember an offseason thread asking what was more likely an 8 seed winning the NBA title or a 16 seed beating a 1 seed in the NCAA tournament. In that thread I said I don't think it would be too impossible for an 8 seed to win the title if it was a contender that had injuries but was healthy for the postseason and in an ultra competitive conference where they were not too far behind the #1 seed. OKC will most likely be more than a few games behind the #1 seed but they were exactly the type of team that could win the title as an 8 seed.

It will be a disappointing season for the Warriors but regardless the team has learned to play winning team basketball on both sides of the floor and if they lose a hard fought series to a team that was in the WCF last year and Finals three years ago they wouldn't feel the worst. I thought the Spurs loss to the Grizzlies was the craziest because they were a good team AND had championship experience form their core players. Mavs loss was a bit of a perfect storm. That Warriors team had a ridiculous winning % after the trade for Jackson and Harrington and Baron got healthy and a coach who knew those Mavs player and their coach better than they knew themselves.

Whichever team they get paired up with will be worried of course.

That said, the first round in the West will be the best-ever! Basketball gods are salivating at the rivalry possibilities:

For example: GSW-DAL, MEM-OKC, SAS-HOU, POR-LAC. Or any combo for that matter...
If there is no basketball in heaven, i am not going.

Durant seems to torch GS more than any other team throughout his career, so I doubt it will matter which wings are playing. Westbrook/Curry is the key match up.

Still like 40 games left. So much can happen, I believe OKC will be much better than 8th seed then.

Westbrook will be licking his chops if they match up in round one. No one on GS can check him on the perimeter so he'll get their front court in foul trouble quickly. And he won't let up. Westbrook '15 is a special kind of pit bull and I'd feel a little scared for Curry.

If Bledsoe stays healthy for a full season this Time I don't think Okc will catch phx.

Double OT vs Memphis,OKC two Ls
Lost GW vs clips,bucks.

Just give me two of those wins and phx would be looking real good.

OKC knows this and is trying to stack that team with Lopez

A's over Royals. Lester and experience will prove that he's worth the trade.

Tigers winning it all. Tigers are, imo, peaking at the right time.
