Bulls were going to win the title, but Chuck doesn't know who the SF is.

I find myself agreeing with Shaq in this piece.

After Rose broke both his knees, I gave up on the hope that we'd make it to the NBA Finals again. It will probably be decades before we see another championship. Hello Treadmill, here we come.

Well. Derrick shouldn't blame anybody but himself. Especially since he isn't playing very good.

Agreed, and as I said in one of these new posts, in my opinion Rose is not the guy to calls anyone out because I think he hasn't the respect of his teammates, the old ones (He has been out for 2 years) and the new ones (there are 4 new guys in the locker room), not enough respect since he hasn't played neither well nor with effort.. He has been out for many games in this season too and his teammates are being very patient with him. I don't think he is the most appropiate guy right now.

There's no real leader on this team anymore. Last year it was Jo's team and before that it was Rose's team. Now... who knows? And it shows. It's a bit chaotic.

Barkley's a media whore that just tries to kiss the hard core fans ass. He tries to come off like he's in touch with the "real" Bulls fans.

Every NBA podcast I've been listening to thinks Rose was right for calling the team out. Its no big deal. Barkelys just a drama queen that tries to make everything so grandeous.

I actually think Derrick still has a lot of clout in the locker room and the guys very much respect him for working his way back from 2 major knee injuries (Noah has talked repeatedly about this). Jimmy Butler has also credited Rose for helping instill confidence in his game last season so I think Rose has been more of a leader behind the scenes than people realize. Not to mention, it's hard to argue that Rose has played better than anyone else on the team of late, so it's not like he's picking an awful time to say something.

Can't blame Charles.

We still don't know who our SF is either. Neither does Thibs.

I love how they conveniently forget that it would take atleast a season to get back acclimated to the regular season, the schedule, the back to backs, the workouts, the muscle memory etc.. They said it, we expected it, but then when the season starts ..

Once again, conveniently.

Keep knocking D-Rose. I love reading it actually, it'll make #7 that much sweeter in my eyes.

Definitely true. I think Barkley does watch games. But, he is like many of us here. He holds onto pre- determined thoughts as the basis for his opinions.

Rose was not wrong because he included himself in the criticism and when he played bad he owned up to that

I would be more mad if this was going on and nobody said anything at all.

Barkley sounds like an idiot. People keep saying that Rose called out teammates, but his comments were all about "We." He never said guys in that locker room aren't competing or guys aren't communicating. He said we aren't competing, and we need to communicate better. This was in direct response to a reporter basically asking what the problem was. Why is this being made into Rose calling out teammates? Last time I checked "We" included Rose as well.

Gasol is the guy that has called out specific teammates. It wasn't even big news not even on here. Here's an interesting article on Gasol from 2012 though.

Both teams struggled to score, but down the stretch, the Pacers decided to attack Pau Gasol in the pick and roll. They scored on each of their last two possessions, including George Hill’s game-winning layup with .1 seconds left on the clock.

Attacking Pau in P&R situations hasn’t been new to this Lakers team. As Pau has aged, he’s become more slow-footed and hasn’t been able to move his feet against opposing point guards.

This weakness has only been amplified by the fact that the Lakers perimeter defenders haven’t been able to fight through screens during Pau’s whole tenure in Los Angeles.

The result has been Pau isolated by a smaller, quicker guard after opposing offenses achieved the switch they intended to create in the 1-4 P&R.

On Tuesday, the Pacers ran 16 P&R sets. They ran nine with Gasol on the floor and seven with him on the bench.

While Gasol was on the floor, seven of the nine P&Rs were run with his man setting the screen. The Pacers blatantly attacked Gasol’s inability to move laterally, and they had some success.

Keeping in mind that they shot 34 percent on the night, the Pacers shot 33 percent on all P&R sets and that was the second-highest they shot in all half-court situations (they found back-side cutters with regularity, which led to easy buckets).

It was the 1-4 P&R, however, that gave the Lakers fits and ultimately cost them the game. Let’s take a look at how the Pacers attacked Gasol.

Also the TNT crew is clueless. Basically saying the Bulls struggles are because Noah is out, ignoring the fact that Noah has been awful this year, and our defense has been atrocious even with him.
