That starting five is ugly Thibs. If you want Kirk starting, start Nikola. If you want Gibson starting start Doug. Give Rose, Gasol and Butler a shooter to open things up

I'm keeping the faith. Rose speaking out publicly and then Thibs canceling practice and having a group discussion with the team was good for us hopefully. I feel like these events can get us back on track, if not then we are really in trouble.

I can see where you are coming from.

But, the Bulls are playing at home.
They are rested, which makes a big difference for guys like Hinrich and Gasol, and, perhaps, Rose.
Their front line is fine, even with Noah out. But I'd like to see Niko check Splitter -- which would be worth the price of admission.
Maybe our backcourt will drop their zombie imitations for this game. One can hope, anyway.

I can't bear to watch this in real time, and anyway there's 3 hrs of 2nd grade homework to be superintended. But I'll peek at the score during the game, and replay it if the Bulls play well -- win or lose.

That's hardly a counter-argument for an easy win.
Honesty is my only excuse.

Hinrich starting against San Antonio LOL. This one should be put away before half time.

Spurs 119, Bulls 99.

Hinrich 2 points on 1-5 FG, 4 TO's, 4 fouls
Pau 19 points on 7-19 FG, 10 boards
Jimmy 12 points on 5-16 FG, 43 minutes played
FIRE THE JOHN "THE SNAKE" PAXSON, FOR GARMAN, AND FRED HOIBERGER.

This isn't exactly a reason to be optimistic

Even the casual fan can see this. But stubborn Thibs won't budge as usual and the game will be out of reach by half time. Butler will still play 40+ minutes though.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but hasn't "stubborn Thibs" tried starting three different guys in place of Dunleavy since he has been out?

Wasn't Dunleavy scheduled to return this week?

I think we gotta shake the lineup up a bit. The old ways ain't working anymore.

Move Butler back to 2 - he's done his best work in this position. Snell / Moore off the bench.
Start Mirotic / Snell at 3 - that way we don't have to start Hinrich. McDermott to sub.
Swap Gasol to 4 and Gibson to 5. Bairstow and Mohammed off the bench.
Hinrich / Brooks off the bench for Rose.

It's time for everyone to pitch in. Rotate often and limit player to no more than 33 minutes.

Defenders must love seeing Kirk on the floor. It's like coming to work knowing your boss is on vacation.

1- We need Dunleavy+++ (or Dougy) in the starting lineup. Hinrich is bad; Snell is bad, and we needs Buckets at the 2
2- If yesterday's discussion was fruitful, I'm pretty sure we will see a different behaviour/body language from our players.
Hopefully, playing against the champions will add another dimension to the "underdog mentality" the team is desperately looking for.

Go Bulls !!!
