Theoretically, the Clips could send away Crawford and two more of their minimum salary guys to fit Prince's salary slot.

Just playing around on the trade machine... who says no ?

Trade 1 - Bass to Portland for Robinson and McCollum.
Trade 2 - Thornton to Houston for Capela and Jet, waive Jet.

I might be convinced to throw in one of our myriad of seconds to sweeten the pot in either trade.

Probably both teams say no.
Bass not worth two young players, and neither thornton worth capela, besides the difference between terry and thornton isn't much.
I think bass and thornton for fillers and 2-3 second rounds as much.

Any chance that now Utah has basically tredded water at the bottom of the league with us, we could get them to revisit a Gordon Hayward trade? We have expirings, a load of draft picks, and a starters hole to fill at SF....

I'd actually consider a straight up swap Sully for Kanter. Dunno tho, Danny might not value Kanter very high or whatever..

How do u guys value him?
Good assessment:

Kanter is okay, nothing more nothing less. Like our bigs probably nothing more than a role player. Not someone i'd want badly on my team. Unless he develops into a quality defender the moment he gets traded/leaves Utah, i don't see the benefit of having him here. He's a rebounder and an offensive player just like Sullinger. With a few inches more in the size department but a few less in the BBIQ department. Statistically i think Sullinger has an edge in almost all metrics, he is on the rookie contract and not due for an extension so personally i'd not trade Sullinger for Kanter.

4 way trade idea

Haven't tried this on the trade machine but who says no?

Celtics get:

Isaiah Thomas, perry Jones, Garnett

Thunder get:

Lopez, bass, That 2nd year guard from the Suns his name escapes me

Suns get:

Avery Bradley, pressed, lamb, bogs anoxic

Nets get:

Perkins Plumlee

Random notes:

Nets save lots of tax
Thunder pay tax to make a run
Celtics strengthen Thundrr and suns hopefully at expense of clippers
Kg waives no trade to retire a Celtic is absorbed through rondo TPE

Thomas is a 6man as much, hasn't the level of starter and his contract is overpaid for his role, only worth this contract in contender team or similar. Bradley at least is a starter SG and has quite more value for celtics and other teams.

Thanks For plugging it in for me Bohemian.

I just made an amalgamation of ideas I saw randomly floating.

Maybe we could substitute Evan Turner for Pressey?

I came up with this trade idea on the massage table earlier today! Lol

Blazers announce that LaMarcus Aldridge has a ligament tear in his left thumb. He will undergo surgery & is out 6-8 weeks.

Time to showcase Bass & Thornton. Portland will need help while LMA is out

It's interesting that Bass seems to have gotten the start...we're not being obvious about showcasing him at all! and Thornton is getting major 6th man minutes hah

* With Aldridge out and no Lopez/Freeland...plus Batum hand injury POR imo could miss playoffs.

Bass to POR should happen month ago, but now they really are in need for him. And with Batum injuries we should add Turner. Return for both should be protected first rounder.

BASS, TURNER
for
Claver(buy out), Wrigh(buy out) and Robinson, protected first rounder.

* Prince only destination imo is TOR for Fields or Hayes plus 2nd rounder.

PRINCE
for
Fields or Hayes, 2nd rounder

* Thornton contract is to big, I see no trade out there, Only option HOU for Terry, filler, 2nd rounder.

THORNTON
for
Terry(buy out), Dorsey(buy out), 2nd rounder

The thing about Bass to POR now is that they can't afford to give up Robinson as easily with Aldridge out..

Still gotta hope you can get a 1st for Prince or Thornton.. I could see a team like Toronto willing to give up an asset (1st this year or in future, with protections) to get a veteran presence and get under the luxury tax.. I think we could take Fields and Hayes with our TPE, then send Prince to them with the TPE they'd be creating.

Seems like the most expendable combo for them is Freeland (still hurt, and Leonard possibly has taken his role when everyone gets healthy), Claver, and possibly Crabbe. Those three could net Bass (in terms of salary amounts), who would more than replace Claver in the rotation.

Tough spot for Portland, but maybe it ends up helping Boston a bit to help them get through their patch of injuries.

Toronto and houston are realistic trades, but portland isn't, bass and turner not worth first round, maybe if boston add crowder.

What Thomas are you talking about? Thomas Robinson is on his rookie contract. Isaiah Thomas is making 7.2 not bad for a guy that on any given night can get you 20 points.

Isiah thomas. I like thomas but in bad team as starter or bench player with this contract isn't good fit. He is a good scorer and little more than this.
