The Problem with all those prediction Threads is that in the West basically everyone who makes the Playoffs could beat anyone else if said Team is hot and healthy at the right time.

If the West ends up at:

1.GSW
2.Por
3.Dal
4.Hou
5.Mem
6.Lac
7.SAS
8.OKC

Thats 8 very strong Teams and each Team could get crazy hot for a series and knock a higher seed off.

There is no "secure" Seed that promises an easier path to the Finals in the West. every single series is gonna be brutal.

OKC has to just WIN some to make the cut. I doubt they can win a game in Oakland...and GSW will have home court. Yeah.. if you are #1 seed and get dumped by the 8 seed.. that would suck.. but I'll worry about that IF it happens.

First of all,

Kerr, Ron Adams, and Gentry >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Scott Brooks

GSW has the top starting 5 in the league and are literally 13 deep. (Fun fact, they broke the record for the only team to have everyone on the roster score...since the new added rule to have 13 active players on a roster) They are a top 5 defensive team and they run one of the most beautiful looking offenses in the league. (Anyone who makes the claim the Warriors are not a contender because they rely on shooting, don't watch the Warriors. They manufacture easy baskets like clockwork) Seriously, its a well oiled machine and their chemistry is amazing.

ABSOLUTELY 0 chance OKC wins. Unless Bogut gets hurt.

So it's far from 0 chance then..

I'd still like my odds... I'm not even a Warriors fan, but some people are delusional in this thread. Playoff basketball is one of the easiest to predict in all of sports. What's the point in talking about hypotheticals? Full strength at full strength. It's not like Bogut has to play that many minutes, Speights is a huge part of the team but he's the role of the spark plug. He can't run the offense and get guys open shots like Bogut nor rim protect.
GSW's W-L without Bogut/Lee...was fine. They stayed #1. OKC was set back BIG by injury. Any team.. however.. might lose a starter going into the playoffs. You cross that bridge when you get to it. For GSW... hanging on to home court is a real big deal. I LOVE the odds of winning at home. GSW has won at about 85% overall...about 95% at home.

OKC didn't look impressive yesterday against an injury-plagued Heat team.

Most of us never got to be a "frontrunner" as a GSW fan. We're used to talking about draft stuff and the next coach at this point.

Realistically, the Thunder can catch a lot of the teams in the West still. I wouldn't be surprised if OKC is a top 4 seed.
Rest in peace Mamba. There'll never be another Kobe.

I wouldn't consider it as much a disappointment as really really bad luck for getting OKC in the first round.

GSW didn't look impressive when they lost to a depleted Laker team.

That game was unfair though, they didn't have Kobe playing. Give us another shot with Kobe on the floor and I like our odds.

You mean when they won on the road while both of their superstars had off games?

Any tops seed that dominates the regular season only to lose in the first would be considered a huge disappointment. But winning like this is still rather new to GS as a franchise and if they do get OKC I don't think anyone would be shocked if they lost. So yeah, disappointing but I don't think they'd be ridiculed or labeled a failure or anything like that

Westbrook hasn't even touched 40% shooting against GS in 3 games this year. Sure, he can get hot and blow up on people, but... His career shooting percentages make it pretty obvious that he's off a lot more often than he's on. IF he is on for a series, yeah, OKC could smash GSW. I wouldn't hold my breath, though.
1/17/2015 prediction: Curry outplays Westbrook in the 14-15 playoffs.

Yeah why would someone be confident in their teams chances of winning when their team has the second best margin of victory right after the 95-96 Bulls. That isn't even mentioning the insane home court advantage they will likely have for the whole playoffs where right now the have a margin of victory of 17.8.

The Spurs at their peak weren't as good as this Warriors team; the Thunder at their peak wasn't as good as this Warriors team; Why should the Warriors cower in fear of the inferior versions of these two teams?

As a warriors fan I agree it's ok to be confident and that this team has been a great regular season team so far. But the Spurs last year were in chill mode during the regular season. In the playoffs they slaughtered people playing tough opponents every night. Until the Warriors show domination like the Spurs did last year I don't think it's fair to say they are better than that Spurs team at their peak.

Your first paragraph wasn't bad.

Did you just say Golden State is better then one of the greatest teams in NBA history & the most dominant team since the 00-01 Lakers?

I don't even know what to say..........

The Warriors would still have something great to build on.
