2010 wrote:If Larry Sanders is bought out by the Bucks, would any of you want/expect the Knicks to pursue him? He's an athletic 6-11 PF/C who can block shots and run the floor. However his offense is non-existant, he has zero passing or post-up skills, and he seems to have some character/personal issues with reports he's no longer interested in playing in the NBA and a drug violation resulting in a 10-game suspension. Can Phil Jackson reach him and work his zen magic? He would mask some of Okafor's defensive weaknesses.

You guys are being very unfair to JR Smith by comparing him to Sanders.

JR never went off the reservation like that.

I can't think of another player in recent memory who did what Sanders is doing.

Now I feel like you guys are trolling with these threads. Every time someone gets bought out someone needs to create a thread asking if we should take a flyer on them.

There's a reason these guys get bought out and it's not because they help you win basketball games. I would think that would be obvious.
And just like that, the lead has been cut to 8!

Let him prove it in the D League first. I want to see some dedication before you invest in him like teams kept doing with Bynum. There are cases where a guy is really trying to try to turn it around like Blatche did that 1st yr for BKN. If that's the case, could be a great signing.

Plenty to question with what JR did on the court, but never had to question that he wanted to be on the court. Dude had a youthful enthusiasm for the game.

JR Smith is the Anti-Christ...so I'd say that they're being fair comparing him to Sanders...who Bucks fans believe to be the Anti-Christ.

But seriously, no, if Jackson is going all out for culture change, then this would not make any sense at all. Sanders appears to have some psychological and drug issues (he failed multiple drug tests). Not good.

I think PJax could care less about anything off the court. If you buy in on the court, then he's had no problem with guys like Rodman & Artest.

Artest is the closest thing to Sanders I can think of, when he just bailed on Indiana.

He got his act together very quickly though, and rebounded well in Sacto. Plus, he never hated the game, just wanted out of Indy.

Welp, didn't know he carried this much of a stigma. All I knew about him was that was a serviceable, defensive big who could put up decent numbers when motivated.

Since he seems and has continued to be a bad apple from jump, I rescind my 20 day opportunity to him. He can go to the cavs for all I care.

Who was the Twolves player who went off like that. Talented kid. Career was over early. However I think he was part skitzo.

Eddie Griffin (Seton Hall)

I think he died in a car crash while driving drunk, jerking off to a porno playing in the tv(s) in his car.
