Congrats to Pau (All-Star Game Starter)!

Post#1 » by unknownnewbie » Fri Jan 23, 2015 12:20 am

And how crazy is it that both Gasol brothers (correctly, IMO) are All-Star starters? First time in NBA history 2 brothers will be starting against each other in All-Star Game history

Wow.....Toronto fans really made a push for Lowry. I thought Wade was winning that 2nd starting spot by a bit

Incredible to think that it's his first time starting and at age 34. Be awesome to see him and his brother together there as well.

Also a refreshing reminder that Pau is basically our 3rd option (assuming Rose keeps improving) and is an All-Star starter. We have an incredible roster of talent on this team this season, just a matter of the team clicking and firing on all cylinders.

Also, as much as I dislike that Melo made the team, I also like that Rose didn't make the team. Neither deserved to as starters, but the Chicago fan base actually pays attention to how players are playing while the Knicks fan base just has blind loyalty. Loyalty is a good trait, but you also have to be realistic and give credit where credit is due, IMHO.

Jimmy will get selected by the coaches.

It will be good have Noah and Rose sit out for those 8 days.

What's peoples thoughts on the back-court?

Could've been any 2 out of Wall, Lowry, Wade, Jimmy.

Personally, I think Wade deserves the starting spot over one of Wall or Lowry. 24ppg on 49%.

Team needs something positive.

Gasol as well needs to re-focus his priorities on winning the ring and not playing time.
For love, not money.

I'm glad for Lowry. Nine years in the league...first All-Star game appearance. And he's having a better all-around season than Wade, in my opinion

All the TNT guys agree Jimmy should make the team as a reserve

If you are saying Pau shouldn't start or get 30 minutes per game you are wrong. He is a deserving all-star starter and most definitely should start for the Bulls.

1. Good for Gasol. He deserved it.
2. Melo isn't an all-star. Missed on a handful of games. Knicks have the worst record. He isn't an All-Star. They need to revoke fan voting.
3. Kobe. Same reasons as Melo.
4. Horford/Milsap should have Melo's starting spot. Harden should replace Kobe.
5. Rose doesn't deserve to be in the All-Star game, even as a reserve. Rose also isn't the best PG in the East.

Melo didn't miss basically two full seasons. Not even remotely comparable.

First time Brothers are matched up since the Van Arsdales in the 70s.

Also, how badly does it speak about L.A fans that he did never get the votes to start on his prime in the midst of three finals runs and 2 rings and he does actually get to start by fan vote at 34 and out of his prime.

Bulls fans > Lakers Fans it seems to me.
